Incremental Forming of sheet metal is a new forming technique in this world.By using special equipment and tools,processes sheet metal layer by layer with the increments of continuous local forming along the programmed trajectory.It leaves out die in tradition forming technique to form great limitation,complicated shape metal workpieces.So it saves much time.But the research of this technique is study stage.There are no experimental research for three point incremental forming of sheet metal now.This thesis designed a experimental equipment based on the principle of digital three point incremental forming of sheet metal.Single point incremental forming and three point incremental forming was contrasted.Finally,the effect of process parameters are researched.The main work and achievements are as follows:(1)Based on the principle of digital three point incremental forming of sheet metal,a experimental equipment was designed to research three point incremental forming.Then the workpieceses are made to prove the feasibility of this equipment.(2)Again the forming principle,simulation,experiment study of the single point incremental forming and three point incremental forming,the superiority of three point incremental forming is obvious in the geometry precision of workpiece.(3)The effect of process parameters towards the geometry and surface precision were researched again simulation,experiment study.This research provides a powerful rationale for the practical production.
