Stainless steel material widely used in many fields with its excellent material properties, strong corrosion resistance, good processing and fine surface appearance. At present, domestic factories which mainly manufacture the production of stainless steel material process in a traditional manual polishing way. Traditional manual polishing way has the problem of low production efficiency, bad work environment and shortages of labor.Here, stainless steel electric kettle is as the main artifacts, and because the first generation of vertical polishing machine has problems of low integral stiffness and low processing efficiency, we redesign the automatic polishing machine and complete the research on the whole automatic polishing line production.The polishing path planning of electric kettle spout welding surface was studied in this article and the knife contact trajectory curve is optimize in the method of projection. In the article, the interval of abrasive polishing machining and the changes of abrasive position information is calculated, and the animation is done in the simulation analysis to verify the correctness of various values.In this paper, the machine structure of the polishing machine will be changed to horizontal machine to improve the overall stiffness. And the whole line of automatic polishing machine adopts the linear processing method. Linear automatic polishing production is a three processes and three grinding head numerical control system, mainly composed of installing electric kettle mechanism, electric kettle transmission mechanism, three-axis linkage automatic polishing of NC machine tools. Electric kettle runs from the first process to the last to complete all processes, don't need to operating personnel to join in the midway. The NC control system of the production line is based on PC and motion control card and single chip microcontroller. The interface of the whole control system is simple and easy to operation for workers. The manipulator mechanism of automatic polishing production line complete the task of capturing electric kettle and installing electric kettle and removing electric kettle, the transmission of the kettle in each stage is performed by chain guide mechanism. To meet the demand of machine tool processing, I design the electric kettle fixture structure and no clearance gear transmission mechanism.At last, the experiment of polishing process performance parameters is been done to verify that the machine tool meet the demand of mass production processing in the two aspects of efficiency and quality for the enterprises. Comprehensive analysis the problems of machine tool of the prototype test, and puts forward the important research direction of follow-up.
