Research And Development Of 3D Fixture Database System Based On 3DCAPPM

Fixture, as one of the most fundamental process part in manufacturing the mechanical equipment, is essential in planning the 3D process by using 3D CAPPM planning system(3D Computer Aided Process Planning system). However, in current stage, the 3D CAPPM system is not yet mature and do not have the corresponding 3D fixture library system.Therefore, the process engineer needs to model and assemble the fixture manually and this situation makes the efficiency very low. This thesis proposed a kind of 3D fixture library system to provide the user a set of common fixture model and automatic assembly method.According to the current domestic and foreign research situation about 3D fixture base system and considering the demand of integration and intelligence, the two key functions of the 3DCAPPM are determined. Meanwhile, this thesis also discuss the structure of system and the key technology and of how to realize the system. Among all the factors, the parametric modeling is the most significant one of the 3D fixture library knowledge system.This paper built template clamp and then uses the knowledge fusion bonding technology combined with the KF language defined rules to establish the database of fixture parameters.By using this method, the parametric modeling of fixture is realized. This topic is based on the matrix transform principle, the expected position matrix and current matrix are calculated by interacting with user and then the pose transformation matrix is obtained. Therefore, the automatic assembly of fixture is realized and the assembly information is recorded during the whole assembly process.This paper completed the transformation from theory to engineering practice, finished the work of developing a three-dimensional fixture library system for 3DCAPPM and then verified feasibility by some examples. This system integrated with the 3DCAPPM software has been applied in some enterprises.
