With the development of market, the need for the variety of products is increasing. And the traditional manufacturing mode of large batch is instead by a new mode , mass customization, of various breeds, small batch. The MC need more on fixture, especially on the agileness, flexibility, intelligence of fixture and so on. This paper studies on the interrelated technologies of CAFD for MC. And the main contents and achievement is as follows:1. The concept and the traits of the MC mode were researched firstly. And then the traits and correlative technologies of CAFD for MC were researched deeply. The frame of the CAFD system for MC was constructed.2. Based on the analysis of fixture design resources, the key technologies of fixture element and component automatic modeling were studied deeply and Fixture element library and component library were built. Moreover, the interrelated technologies of fixture instance library and design rule library were studied.3. The ways of expressing the information structure of fixture were analysed and the fixture assembly model based on assembly features was researched. Moreover, fixture assembly rules and virtual assembly flow based on assembly features were researched.4. The technologies of CAFD which bases on case-based reasoning were researched, and both the way of expressing fixture instances and the arithmetic of searching fixture instances were analysed. Then the hierarchies and the forms of fixture instance variations were researched deeply. And the structure of fixture instance variations was created and the reasoning flow was put forward.5. Based on the UG software, the prototype system of fixture resources management and fixture instance variations was developed. And the interfaces and some cases were presented.
