Schiff base containing an imine group is a kind of important compound,the N in the imine group contains lone pair electrons,which can form stable complexes with most metal ions.The bond exhibits changes in both alcohol and ketone structures.In addition,some bidentate Schiff bases can be coordinated with metal ions by [N,N],[N,O],[N,C],[N,S] construct a rich spatial structure stable complexes.So that Schiff base and its complexes in medicine,catalysis,sensing,optics and other fields widely used.In this paper,salicylaldehyde and p-phenylenediamine,benzidine,o-tolidine,4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane reacted construct a class of bidentate Schiff bases.(Including-OH,-C = N-)it is desirable to construct a series of binuclea rhodium and iridium complexes,by the coordination of [N,O] with metal rhodium and iridium.which will lay a foundation for the future synthesis of macrocyclic rhodium and iridium complexes.First,we have synthesized containing O,N-to bidentate Schiff base ligand body [{(2-OH)C6H4 CH=N}2R],{R = C6H4,Ll;R =(C6H4)2,L2;R =(o-MeC6H3)2,L3;R =(C6H4)2CH2,L4} were prepared with different solvents by UV spectroscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy to study the solution of the solvatochromism behavior.L1,L2,L3 and L4 were measured by melting point,IR and 1H NMR,the crystal structure of compound L1 was tested to confirm that we synthesized a class containing salicylaldehyde Schiff base.Secondly,We synthesized the chloro-bridged rhodium,iridium compound [Cp*M Cl2] 2(M = Rh,1;Ir,2),then reacted with Schiff base to form a binuclear rhodium iridium complex.In the experiment,the Schiff base was added into the methanol solvent is reacted with sodium hydroxide to remove phenolic hydroxyl group to form a lively O-ions,and then in CH2Cl2 with 1,2 synthesized Rhodium and iridium complexes with half sandwich structure [(Cp*MCl)2{N,O-?2-(2-O)C6H4CH=N}2C6H4](M= Rh,1a;Ir,1b),[(Cp*MCl)2{ N,O-?2-(2-O)C6H4CH=N}2(C6H4)2](M=Rh,2a;Ir,2b),[(Cp*MCl)2{ N,O-?2-(2-O)C6H4CH=N}2(o-MeC6H3)2](M= Rh,3a;Ir,3b),[(Cp*MCl)2{ N,O-?2-(2-O)C6H4CH=N}2(C6H4)2CH2](M=Rh,4a;Ir,4b),The above compounds 1a,2a,3a,4a;1b,2b,3b,4b were measured by IR and 1HNMR,and the characteristic peaks were assigned.In addition,We tested a compound 1a crystal structure,Through the study of crystal data,we determined synthesize a new class of binucleate like rhodium,iridium compounds,such compounds soluble in chloroform,dichloromethane and other organic solvents,to study other The nature of the aspect provides favorable conditions.At the same time,by changing the length of the Schiff base ligand chain can change the binuclear rhodium,iridium compound space structure,which for the synthesis of a new type of macrocyclic rhodium,iridium complexs formed a good template,with a broad research prospect.
