In the last few years,the amount of vehicle is rising due to the continuous development of economy and the improvement of the per capita income level and the increasing demand for the transportation.This makes the vehicle become one of the important sources of air pollution in China.Under this background,it is of great significance to establish vehicle emission inventory,to research the vehicle characteristics of pollutants,to set different abatement scenories and analyze vehicle emission reduction potential to control vehicle pollution and improve the air quality.Shenyang is an important economic and cultural exchange center and transportation hub in the northeast region,and the local demand for vehicles is growing,so Shenyang is selected as a case study city in this paper.The research object of this paper was the vehicle emission pollutants.The vehicular emission inventory was established by identified and modified emission factors,the survey data of the actual situation of Shenyang and the calculation method of main pollutants emissions of vehicle for Shenyang in 2013.And then three abatement scenories were set in order to analyze the emission reduction potential and suggestions on vehicle emission abatement were put forward.These provide a scientific basis for the assessment of the impact of vehicle pollutants on regional environment air quality,the control of vehicle pollution and the formulation of emission reduction measures.The results showed that,the emissions of CO?HC?NOx and PM were 128500.4t?32104.8 t?44206.3 t and 1992.8 t respectively.Small passenger cars and taxis contributed most to the emission of CO and HC,while heavy trucks and light trucks were the main contributors for the emission of NOx and PM.The pollutants produced by vehicles in Shenyang mainly came from gasoline vehicles and diesel vehicles,while the amount of pollutants emitted by new energy vehicles was very small,and gasoline vehicles played an important role in the emission of pollutants CO and HC,while diesel vehicles were the main source of NOx and PM.The study of vehicleemissions characteristics showed that the spatial distribution of vehicle emissions in Shenyang is relatively concentrated,and the emission of pollutants within the second ring of vehicle emissions accounted for more than 70% of the total.It was estimated that the number of vehicles in Shenyang would reach about 2.15 million.Abatement scenories analysis results showed that only eliminate the substandard vehicles would significantly reduce pollutants CO and PM,while HC and NOx will increase.Eliminate the substandard vehicles and improve the quality of fuel oil simultaneously would help reduce all the four pollutants CO?HC?NOx and PM.Better reduction potential would obtain by perform above integrated measures and continue to develop alternative energy vehicles simultaneously.Therefore,it is of great significance to reduce the emission of vehicle emissions by implementing high pollutant emission standards,eliminating high emission vehicles,improving the quality of fule oil,and promoting the development of new energy vehicles.
