Hole processing is an important branch of mechanical processing,hole processing accounted for 25% to the mechanical processing approximately,how to improve drilling technology is the driving force for the development of drilling technology and the constant pursuit of the goal for the robot.Especially for large diameter deep hole,because the processing in closed or semi-closed state,existence poor heat dissipation,presence of centering chip difficulties and shortcomings,which have been mechanical problems in processing.New indexable insert have many innovation on the drill structure,and absorb the advantages of tradition of high-speed steel twist drill and drill gun,at the same time,with indexable inserts for cutting blade,according to the different material being processed,with different blade material.The indexable insert drill as the research object,research the geometry parameters of the cutting tool,cutting parameters,cutting force and chip breaking,and the machining quality,efficiency and other problems are studied,by using mechanical analysis and cutting experiment.This topic study from drilling mechanism of the new indexable insert drill bit,analysis the parameters of cutting layer and cutting pattern,analysis the mechanical properties of the size of blade in drilling process,the groove mechanical basis of chip split and design principles of relevant centering,put forward its drilling model innovatily,and the mechanics characteristics and corresponding design principles for guide block.Reveal the mechanical foundation and advantage of the indexable insert drill in big diameter and deep processing.Based on the drilling experiment for novel indexable insert drill and twist drill,determinate cutting force under different cutting speed and feed rate,collect the corresponding chip sample and record tool chip breaking.obtain the change rule of cutting force,cutting shape and the corresponding parameters of surface quality,under different cutting parameters,by analyzing the experimental results.The experimental results show that: the indexable insert drill has the advantages of the set of twist drill centering and gun drill guide.Control the axial force and radial force in the drilling process effectily,the axial force is only twist drill 60%,drill stable.Improve the bit chip and chip removal ability,due to the adoption of the groove design for chip split,obtain the ideal type C and chip removal smoothly on a certain condition,but The twist drill make long helical chip mostly,occurr chip phenomenon together and stop the drilling.Obtain the cutting parameters of better processing quality by the study of the different surface quality in different cutting parameters.The cutting efficiency improved 3 times under the same drilling,cutting,surface quality at different blade material.Through the study of this subject,show the design theory of new indexable insert drill,determine the appropriate cutting parameters,provides reliable basis for exploring the regularity of large diameter deep hole,it has certain guiding significance for improving the reliability of large diameter deep hole drilling and improve drilling efficiency,reducing cost and increase economic benefits in practice.
