In the past decades,cross-coupling reactions catalyzed by transition-metals got a breakthrough, which provided nice condition for organic chemistry, and became an important component of chemistry and its related area.as higher quality of living environment was required by people, green chemistry was born and all chemists got a new mission. The concept of green chemistry required chemists to minimize synthetic steps, reduce the amount of toxic waste formed and discover milder and more selective transformations in chemistry researching and commercial run.Under this condition,cross-coupling reactions through decarboxylation of carboxylic acids catalyzed by transition-metals and C-H functional reactions were paid attention to unprecedentedly. This kind of reaction has high yields, less side reactions, cheap material and unharmful products such as carbon dioxide and water, which was required by green chemistry. The following topics were presented in this work:(1)Several kinds of decarboxylative cross-coupling reactions were reviewed.(2)The development of decarboxylative cross-coupling reactions were introduced.(3)The works we had done in decarboxylative cross-coupling reactions(4)A pd/ag2co3 catalytic system promoted decarboxylative arylation of furans via the combination of decarboxylation and c-h bond fictionalizations. The reaction tolerated a wide range of furans and aryl carboxylic acids. Both electron-rich and electron-deficient aryl acids could get efficient products and nice functional group tolerance. We chose aryl carboxylic acids,2-methylfuran and its ramifications to be the substrates to get the best reaction condition by adjusting the radio of them and the using of ligands. In mild reaction condition,we can get aryl production synthesized by furans and other heterocyclicles with a good yield.Decarboxylic acid had some good characteristics such as species diversity, cheap price, good selectivity, and they were easy to be prepared. All these shown above were better then other reagents to be used to cross-coupling reactions. What was more, decarboxylative cross-coupling reactions had no poisonous by-product,that was what was needed in green chemistry. In recent years, aromatic carboxylic acids as the starting materials have been used widely in the cross-coupling reactions, due to their versatile characteristics. In the future, they would play an important role in chemical development.
