Bisphenol A(BPA)belongs to environmental endocrine disruptors refers to a kind of exogenous chemicals,which is widespread distributed in the natural environment.It affects the function of the reproductive,nervous and immune system of the biological or body by interfering the synthesis,secretion,transport,combination,reaction and metabolisms of natural hormone.TiO2,as a wide applied photo-catalyst,has been the focus of research both at home and abroad in recent years.CuO has good chemical stability,acid resistance,alkali resistance,low toxicity,cheap,and easy to be industrialized.But the position of the conduction band potential of CuO cannot satisfy the requirements of the light catalyst conduction band potential that was needed by photolysis aquatic hydrogen.In this study,two different particle size of TiO2(Nano-TiO2,TiO2),Nano-CuO and CuO/MWCNTs were choosed as photocatalytic degradation catalysts.Photocatalytic degradation kinetics of BPA by catalysts was investigated by batch techneque.Meanwhile,environmental factors,such as the amount of catalyst,pH value in medium,ionic strength,solution concentration of BPA,were studied to comparably analyze the photocatalytic performance of different catalyst.The results are as follows:Under the ultraviolet light,the photocatalytic degradation of BPA by two size TiO2 was balanced after 48 h,and the significant size effect was presented.Both the amount of the catalyst and the concentration of BPA were positively related to degradation rate of BPA.With the increase of pH,the photocatalytic degradation rate of BPA decreased.The inhibitted degradation performance of photocatalysis depended on ionic strength;the photocatalytic degradation trend of two sizes of TiO2 was consistent.Under the ultraviolet light,the photocatalytic degradation of BPA by Nano-CuO and CuO/MWCNTs were balanced after 24 h,and that of CuO/MWCNTs was significantly higher than Nano-CuO.Both the amount of the catalyst and the concentration of BPA were positively relative to degradation rate of BPA.The photocatalytic degradation rate of BPA decreasedwith the increase of pH in medium.The degradation performance of photocatalysis was suppressed by ionic strength to a certian extent,and the trendency of Nano-CuO and CuO/MWCNTs is almost the same.
