In the exploitation of oil and gas well,the well control operation is commonly used for balancing the formation pressure by giving an appropriate back pressure to the well bottom.However,the well control operation is to adjust the opening of the well control throttle valve for making some resistance to the fluid on the well so as to produce comparative back pressure.Therefore,the well control throttle valve is the key equipment in the well control manifold,which can control the pressure inside the well by adjusting the throttle valve,so as to prevent the occurrence of well kick and blowout.However,the mud is easy to flush the shell of the throttle valve with the wedge valve core through the throttle in the field work,which will make a flush corrosion to the seat and the side wall.For solving this problem,the throttle valve with the nominal diameter of DN52.4 and the design pressure of 70 MPa was studied in this paper.Firstly,this paper makes an advantage and disadvantage analysis of these well control throttle valve cores around the world and chooses wedge core with optimized structure;secondly,the parameter calculation and structure design of the main parts of the valve body,valve cover,valve stem and valve core are carried out and the relevant materials are chosen.Then,the finite element analysis by Ansys software is made to them and the strength of the valve is checked for safety and reliability;finally,the flow field of the throttle region was analyzed by Fluent software,and the velocity distribution of different valve cores was obtained.The comparison and analysis are carried out and the reference for optimizing the structure of the valve core is provided.So selecting rational angle of the valve core to reduce the fluid flush of the valve seat sidewall has a certain guiding significance to control the blowout accidents and to improve the throttling effect of pressure control drilling.
