In this paper,the composition of nitrogen compounds of Liaohe heavy oil vacuum residue were isolated and studied by ion-exchange resin.Then vacuum residue of heavy oil was divided into two classes with basic,non-basic or acidic,non-acidic components under the action of ion-exchange resin at various conditions.In order to research the special distribution law of nitrogen compounds and evaluate the optium dispose conditions,the acid value and base nitrogen is measured by non-water potentiometric titration.The results showed that the macroporous anion exchange resin that soaked in 0.75 mol?L-1KOH solution exhibited the optimal performance;the macroporous cation exchange resin soaked in HClO4-HAc solution with the volume ratio of 7:3 exhibited the best performance.With the further use of basic alumina that contain water by 1%,the vacuum residue of Liaohe heavy oil will be sub-divided into hydrocarbons,neutral,acidic and basic components and determining the distribution of the acid-base of each component.And we get the basic nitrogen content of basic components is the highest,the basic nitrogen content of acid components is lower,and the basic nitrogen content of the neutral components is the lowest,and the hydrocarbons don't contain the basic nitrogen.Finally,with the infrared spectroscopy,the qualitative analysis of the type of the nitrogen compounds in the various components of Liaohe heavy oil vacuum residue is done in this article.
