With the rapid development of the automobile industry,automobile production and holdings increased year by year.In recent years,enterprises and the market demand for automotive parts more and more.Sector gear shaft is an important part of the car steering system,belonging to the core safety parts,its dimensional accuracy,mechanical properties and surface quality are very high requirements.The traditional method of processing is mainly the use of bar directly cutting,or through the first forging blanks and then cutting.The production process there is a low utilization of materials,poor mechanical properties,low production efficiency and many other issues,has been unable to meet the market development and industry needs.Therefore,the study of Sector gear shaft precision forging forming has a high practical value.Based on the study of rigid-plastic finite element theory and DEFORM-3D numerical simulation software,the key technical problems of numerical simulation of segmented forging process of sector gears are analyzed.On this basis,Simulation analysis.Firstly,the metal filling law and the merits of different process schemes are analyzed,and the suitable forging process is selected.Then,the influence of different process parameters on forging and mold wear was analyzed by single factor method.Thecorresponding regularity and the quantitative calculation formula of wear were obtained.Finally,orthogonal design and numerical simulation software are used to simulate and analyze the main factors that affect the forming of the setor gear shaft.Taking the forming load,forging damage and mold wear as the evaluation index,the influence degree of each factor on the three evaluation indexes and the best combination of process parameters were obtained.The optimal combination of process parameters is obtained by using the integrated equilibrium method.Based on this,the simulation can be carried out to provide the basis for the design of forging process of sector gears shaft.
