How to treat SiCl4 is an urgent problem for increasing the capacity of poly-silicon production and solve the problem for the sustainable development of the domestic PV industry. The key of hydrogenation technology is to produce HSiCl3?TCS?through the SiCl4 and Si powder reaction under high temperature and high pressure. This is an effective way toensure the purpose with the cyclic utilization of SiCl4.The theoretical research of the co-hydrogenation reaction of SiCl4 and Si to produce TCS was calculated using the HSC Chemistry Software.Through analyzing the composition of reaction products withreaction equilibrium.,to ensure the main products were TCS,H2SiCl2?DCS?,and HCl in this system. We know thetemperature range was from 573 K to873K pressure range from 6bar to30 bar,H2/SiCl4 molar ratio range from 1 to3 by calculating,The results of software showed that the conversion of STC and productivity of TCS decreased when increase the temperature and the conversion of STC was increased when increase the pressure and ratio of the reactant.A small experimental device was built to explore the affects of reaction temperature, pressure, space velocity and H2 / SiCl4 feed ratio to the reaction results. The variation of the temperature for the test was from 773 Kto 853K,the pressure was from 16 bar to 24 barG,and the H2/SiCl4 molar ration was from 1.2to 2.0.From the test results we can see high temperature was good for increasing the conversion of Si Cl4 and the yield of TCS,High pressure and moderate H2/SiCl4 were good for increasing the conversion of SiCl4.The article was based industrial production and verified the accuracy of the small experimental results.
