It appears that water inrush during exploitation of coal could cause insecurity and even leading accident for serious ones, resulting in significant loss of life and property. The coal called No2.coal seam is excavated in the seam of the Shanxi Formation. It is very dangerous that there are structure and fractures linked up with the areas of rich water yield capacity of roof aquifer and the high water pressure of the Ordovician Limestone aquifer and sandstone aquifer with the complicated geological and hydrogeological conditions in Shouwang Colliery in Linfen. Therefore, doing overall evaluation of the No.2 coal roof and baseboard in Shouwang Collier and making predictions based on sufficient study on the geological and hydrogeological conditions of the Shouwang Colliery and surrounded ones. The "vulnerability index method" is used to evaluate the water inrush danger in the Ordovician Limestone aquifer and sandstone aquifer that play a key role in the water inrush under the plate of No.2 coal seam in Shouwang Colliery in this study.Firstly, based on the analysis of the water inrush mechanism of the coal seam floor and the full study of the hydrogeological conditions and geological conditions of the Shouwang Colliery, combined with the results of drilling and pumping test, the control factors elevating the risk of water inrush from the bottom of No.2 coal seam in Shouhong Collier were selected, including water pressure in the aquifer, the water richness of the aquifer, the distribution of the fault and the collapse column, the fault scale index, the fault point and the intersection point distribution, the effective thickness of the aquifer, the thickness of the brittle rock in the aquifer and then the thematic maps of main control factors were generated.Secondly, according to the results of the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP),endowing each main control factor with the weight values. The thematic maps endowed values were superimposed with ArcGIS,and making water inrush risk prediction and evaluation of the No.2 coal seam floor in Shouhong Coal, reaching the coal seam floor water inrush risk zoning index and zoning map. Finally, analytical comparison was made about water inrush risk of No.2 coal seam floor of water inrush coefficient method and vulnerability index method,it is concluded that the latter one is proper.Based on the analysis of the water inrush mechanism of the coal seam and the full study of the hydrogeological conditions and geological conditions of Shouhong Collier, the main water-filled aquifer in the roof of No.2 coal seam in Shouhong Collier is K8 and K9 aquifer.First, the degree of fissure of the roof of No.2 coal seam in Shouhong Collier is obtained, and the degree of roofing of the first coal seam is obtained. Then the AHP method based on GIS is used to evaluate the water content of the roof of No.2 coal seam in Shouhong Collier, the map of water yield property of the roof of No.2 coal seam of Shouhong Collier is obtained. Finally, considering the water-rich and water-tightness of the roof water-filled aquifer, the risk allocation table of the roof water in the No.2 coal seam of Shouhong Collier is obtained.Reaching the risk zone map of the roof of the No.2 coal seam in Shouhong Collier with the union of the two maps according to the table.
