In the process of oil production,the water content of crude oil is an important index.Through the precise measurement in real-time for water content of crude oil,one can effectively evaluating the production capacity of oil wells,judging the production status of oil wells,tracking the dynamic changes of oil well reservoirs,predicting the recovery degree of oil wells,and thus providing the basis for making a mining program and adjusting the production structure next.However,at present,there is not a reliable method for measuring water content of crude oil to meet the actual production requirements.In this paper,the author had analyzed the existing method of water content of crude oil,including density method,?-ray method,capacitance method,conductivity method and multi-mode method,especially these methods were evaluated in details in principle of measurement,advantages and disadvantages,adaptive,and range of measurement.For the above methods have many defects,the author researched mainly the implementation technology of water content of crude oil based on RF theory.The AD9850,which integrates the advanced DDS technology,is used as the signal excitation source of the whole system.The RF power detector LTC5507,which is applied in the operating frequency range of 100 KHz to 1000 MHz,is used as the signal detection unit of the whole system.First,by using the HFSS software,the model of RF antenna was built to obtain the different results under the different parameters.Thus depending on the optimal results,the structure of RF antenna was determined,including material,shape,size.Second,the feed network and external protective cover of the antenna are designed to meet the actual application environment.Based on the antenna and the measurement system,the simulation test platform was built to debug the whole system.Then a large number of trails were developed to verify the feasibility and the stability of the system.The test results show that the error is controlled within 5%.The system has good stability and practicability under long working conditions.
