Abstract/Summary:
In recent years, global warming has brought serious challenges to human, and not only destroyed the natural ecosystem, but also threatened the human social development and living environment.Greenhouse gas emission, especially carbon dioxide emissions,is the root cause of global warming.According to the World Watch Institute’s 2009 Livestock and Climate Change,Animal husbandry and climate change reports that livestock and by-products emitted at least 32.064 billion tons of carbon dioxide, accounting for 51 percent of the world’s total emission. And it exceeded FAO’s previous estimation of 18 percent report on livestock and climate change. So animal husbandry has become an important source of greenhouse gases. In 2008 China has surpassed the United States as the world’s largest carbon exporter;government is highly concerned about carbon emissions, and committed that the intensity of carbon dioxide emissions to 2010 will reduce by 40% to 45% of intensity of carbon dioxide emissions in 2005.The government’s "18th Report" put the construction of ecological civilization into the overall layout of the "five in one" of the socialist cause and put forward the trend of reversing the deterioration of the ecological environment and climate warming from the source. At the same time, the government’s key work of “The 13 th Five-Year Plan” is carbon emission reduction. As one of China’s top ten pig breeding major producing provinces, each year Jiangxi Province emitting the greenhouse gas due to pig production activities directly or indirectly cannot be underestimated.Jiangxi Province is committed to creating "demonstration area of ecological civilization construction" and the beautiful China "Jiangxi model",pig farming greenhouse gas emission reduction policy is the basic guarantee of building a civilized, harmonious, beautiful Jiangxi, and is the key to scientific development and the rise of green. For other ecological civilization demonstration areas’ construction,it has important significance and reference value. The main contents of this paper are as follows: research background, purpose and significance of research, research content and research methods, theoretical basis and literature review(Chapter 1 and 2),greenhouse gas emission estimation and temporal and spatial evolution of pig breeding in Jiangxi Province(Chapter 3),the analysis of the influencing factors of greenhouse gas emission in Jiangxi Province(Chapter 5),conclusions,recommendations and research prospects(Chapter 6),the results of the study on the EKC characteristics and decoupling effects of greenhouse gas emissions in Jiangxi Province(Chapter 4).The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The methods of life cycle assessment(LCA)were used to calculate and analyze the spatial and temporal evolution of greenhouse gas emissions from pig farming in Jiangxi Province. The results showed that the total amount of emissions showed an upward trend, and the total amount of carbon dioxide emissions showed "N" type growth characteristics, including pig feed grain cultivation, manure management system and increasing significantly carbon dioxide equivalent emissions in the pig feed grain transport processing chain; The proportion of total emissions of carbon dioxide and carbon dioxide is much higher than that of the other four links. The pig feed and stool management system is the main source of greenhouse gas emissions in the pig industry.11 prefecture-level pig breeding greenhouse gas emissions gathered significant characteristics, and in Ji’an City,Ganzhou City and Yichun City, carbon dioxide equivalent emissions ranked the top three in Jiangxi Province.(2)The EKC model and the Tapio decoupling model were used to test the relationship between greenhouse gas emission and economic growth in Jiangxi province. It was found that there was an "inverted N" EKC relationship between greenhouse gas emission and economic development in Jiangxi province,And the existence of the critical value of 2454 yuan and 10864 yuan, respectively, the double inflection point. The relationship between greenhouse gas emission and economic development was significantly weaker, and the output value of pig breeding industry was faster than that of live pig greenhouse. The greenhouse gas emission and pig development in Jiangxi province were more coordinated.(3)The LMDI model was used to analyze the influencing factors of greenhouse gas emission decoupling in Jiangxi province. The results showed that economic development factors were the main driving factors of greenhouse gas emission in Jiangxi province.Compared with 2000,the effect factors, structural factors and labor factors decreased the greenhouse gas emissions of live pigs in Jiangxi Province from 2000 to 2014.Compared with 2000,the total of 79.35% %,12.09% and 25.16% of live pigs were greenhouse gas emission reduction from 2000 to 2014,among which the efficiency factors contributed the most to the greenhouse gas emission reduction in Jiangxi province.(4)The paper proposed the policy of low-carbon farming in Jiangxi province. This paper summarizes the conclusions of all studies, and draws the conclusion that the spatial and temporal evolution laws and the driving factors of greenhouse gas emissions from pig breeding are the same as the two aspects of pig industry development and energy save and emission reduction and low carbon farming. This paper puts forward some policy suggestions, such as improving the aquaculture technology system, implementing the combination of planting and breeding, planning the development of science planning, improving the economic incentive mechanism, perfecting the pollution supervision system and vigorously promoting the construction of the carbon trading platform, and prospecting the further research.
