Because of the presence of a small amount of hydrophobic grouping in the molecular structure,the hydrophobic associating polymer exhibits flow characteristics different from the ordinary linear polymer solution in porous media.At present,the mainstream of the polymer flooding simulator are all based on the ordinary linear polymer solution properties.It can not accurately simulate the flow characteristics of hydrophobically associating polymer solution,which limits the application of hydrophobically associating polymer.In this paper,through study on the solution properties and flow characteristics of hydrophobically associating polymer solution and making characterization of the physical and chemical parameters of hydrophobically associating polymer solution,a mathematical model is established with the flow characteristics,so as to promote its application in high temperature and high salinity reservoir.Based on three different polymers,including conventional polymer HPAM and two kinds of polymer HAWP-A and HAWP-B with different hydrophobic groups content respectively,to study the viscosity concentration relationship,microstructure and rheology,and analyze the different solution properties of hydrophobically associating polymer and conventional polymers,and characterize the relationship between viscosity and concentration and rheological properties,then to establish the related characterization equations.Moreover,through the study of three kinds of flow characteristics of polymer solution in a single flow and variable flow rate conditions,it obtained the flow characteristics of performance which is that hydrophobically associating polymer is different from the conventional polymer.The main is performance is that the injection pressure is stable in long time.The main reason is that the association of hydrophobic associating polymer solution takes place in the association and disassociation effect under shearing action.In the process of solution flow adsorption hysteresis flow is not instantaneous balance,but increased gradually with the injection time,and eventually reached a steady.Therefore,The relationship function between dynamic hysteresis and time is used to characterize the adsorption and retention of the solution in porous media.And based on the existing polymer simulator,to improve the physico-chemical parameters of hydrophobically associating polymer,the corresponding adsorption model is established,to describe the percolation characteristics of hydrophobically associating polymer in porous media.The mathematics model for hydrophobically associating polymer solution seepage characteristics is established and solved by programming.Compared with the physical simulation experiment,simulation results are obtained flow characteristics of polymer solution under different velocity.The simulation results are in agreement with the experimental results which shows that the percolation mathematical model of hydrophobically associating polymer can better characterize the flow characteristics of hydrophobically associating polymer,and this establishes the foundation of further study of the seepage model of hydrophobically associating polymer.
