Study On BCNO Luminescent Materials And Their Luminescent Properties

BCNO luminescent materials have attracted considerable attention because of their advantages such as adjustable wavelength,strong luminous intensity,stable luminous performance,non-toxic,simple preparation method and so on.In this paper,the BCNO luminescent materials with adjustable wavelengths between blue and yellow green light were synthesized by the precursor method.The effects of luminescence mechanism and Eu3+ doping and partial transition ion doping on the luminescent properties were studied.Several novel luminescent materials were prepared by innovation.For the BCNO phosphors,their composition,structure of nanocrystals,both of their emission spectra and excitation spectra were investigated.The TEM diagram shows that the BCNO luminescent material is a nanocrystalline structure with a size between 2 and 5 nm and a clear lattice fringe can be observed.The excitation and emission spectra show that the wavelength of the BCNO luminescent material is adjustable and the wavelength of the emitted light of the same BCNO luminescent material could be red shifted with longer wavelength of the excitation light.According to the above analysis combined with the literature survey concluded that the physical essence of the BCNO luminescence are carbon quantum dots.The effects of different concentrations of Eu3+,Mn2+ and Ti4+ on the luminescent properties of BCNO were investigated.The results showed that the optimum concentration for Eu3+ doped BCNO luminescent material is about 5%.Mn2+ doping can significantly improve the luminescent performance of the luminescent material BCNO,it could enhance the emission intensity to 2.5 times when its concentration was about 0.5%.Moreover,the doped Ti4+ have also the ability of enhancing the luminous performance of BCNO luminescent materials to 0.5 times when its concentration was about 3%.The influence of Cu2+ and Fe3+ ions on the luminescent properties of BCNO the luminescent materials was investigated as well.our results indicated that Cu2+ and Fe3+ doping could quench the luminescent material BCNO.As the PEG content increases,both type of dopants could redshift the wavelength of BCNO emission.Except for BCNO phoshors,we have prepared the hydrate of BCNO luminescent materials,and found their luminescence properties are somewhat like the situation of carbon quantum dots in BCNO.AlCNO luminescent materials and MgCNO luminescent materials were synthesized by using precursor method with Al and Mg substitute of B.The main component of the AlCNO luminescent material is Al2O3 and may have AlN which is similar to BCNO luminescent material.The main component of MgCNO is MgO,which may be MgO: C luminescence.
