Neodecanoyl chloride(NDCL)is a widely used organic chemical in the industries of paint,initiator,polymer,etc.Among them,the most widely use of NACL is for the preparation of highly efficient peroxide initiator,such as tert-butyl peroxyneodecanoate(BNP),cumyl peroxyneodecanoate(CNP)and tert-amyl peroxyneodecanoate,etc.Quality of neodecanoyl chloride has a direct influence on the quality of initiators prepared from it.Synthetic methods for the preparation of neodecanoyl chloride is reviewed in this thesis.Advantages of phosgene as acylating agent were discussed by comparing with other acylating agents.In this thesis,preparation of neodecanoyl chloride from neodecanoic acid and phosgene was researched systematically.By designation and experiments,new catalyst X4 suitable for the preparation of neodecanoyl chloride from neodecanoic acid and phosgene was acquired.Reaction conditions were optimized,best reaction temperature is the reaction was carried out at 90~100? with 1%~2%(W/W)X4 as catalyst.The catalyst can be recycled for more than 3 times.The best style of phosgene bubbling is three level series reaction model,and capacity factor of phosgene can reach as high as 80%.Process safety and operability was evaluated by HAZOP analysis.Method acquired in this thesis has the advantages of easy operating,suitable for industrialization,and less waste discharged.High content product can be prepared from this method with less impurities,and can be used for the synthesis of highly efficient peroxide initiator. |
