In recent years,polymeric coordination frameworks has been of considerable interest because of their intriguing architectures and potential applications,such as gas storage,sensor,separation,catalysis,ion exchange,magnetism,luminescence.In the field of functional complexes,due to the relatively strong coordination ability of pyridine polycarboxylic acid ligands,a variety of coordination modes and their complexes exhibit excellent properties,making the pyridine polycarboxylic acid ligand construct Complexes have become one of the most popular research topics.In this paper,the synthesis,structure and properties of pyridine polycarboxylic acid ligands were studied.We selected two such ligands:4-(2,4,6-tricarboxylphenyl)-2,2',6',2''-terpyridine(O-tcpt)and4-(2,4,6-tricarboxylphenyl)-4,2',6',4'-terpyridine(p-tcpt),and obtained 17 functional complexes,{[Pb2(O-tcpt)]·CH3OH·3H2O}n(1),[Pb2(O-tcpt)(?2-Cl)H2O]n(2),{[Pb2(O-tcpt)2]·8H2O}n(3),{[Cu(O-tcpt)]·3/2CH3OH·3/2H2O}n(4),{[Cu(O-tcpt)]·2H2O}n(5),{[Cu(O-tcpt)Cl]·1/2CH3CH2OH}n(6),{[Cu(O-tcpt)H2O]·1/2SO4·2H2O}n(7),{[Ni2(O-tcpt)22H2O]·3/2CH3CH2OH·7/4H2O}n(8),[Ni(O-tcpt)2]·5H2O(9),[Mn(O-tcpt)2]·4H2O]n(10),{[Mn(O-tcpt)]·CH3CH2OH}n(11),{[Mn(O-tcpt)]·2H2O}n(12),{[Cd(O-tcpt)]·2H2O}n(13),{[Mn(P-tcpt)]·3H2O}n(14),{[Mn2(P-tcpt)2H2O]·1/4CH3OH·3H2O}n(15),{[Mn(P-tcpt)]·H2O}n(16),{[Co2(P-tcpt)2]·CH3CH2OH·2H2O}n(17).We analyzed the structure of these 17 complexes,and found that these two ligands have a strong coordination ability,showing a variety of coordination patterns,increasing the diversity of complex structures.And the elements were analyzed by elemental analysis,infrared spectroscopy and powder diffraction analysis.In addition,the fluorescence and magnetic properties of some complexes were analyzed and characterized.Moreover,the antibiotic activities of ligand and complex against Escherichia coli,Salmonella Spp,Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis are also tested.These complexes were found to exhibit antibacterial homogeneity to Bacillus subtilis.We alsoexplored the linkages of the structure and properties of some complexes.
