Abrasive water jet cutting technology is a new technology that adding a certain amount of abrasive particles in high pressure pure water jet to improve the cutting ability of pure water jet.With the development and utilization of marine resources,the number of wreck ships at sea is increasing.Demolition and dirt removal task on the surface of wreck ship are increasing,and traditional cutting methods are difficult to apply in the seabed,so abrasive water jet with its strong cutting capacity has been used widely in the salvage field in the sea.The complex marine environment puts a higher demand on the abrasive water jet cutting device.The main objective of this paper is to design a device that can cut the hole on the surface of wreck ship within 100 meters in the sea,and conduct performance test.In this paper,the erosion and erosion mechanism of abrasive water jet are studied.In the process of abrasive water jet cutting,the impact and grinding of abrasive particles on material are the main reason for the formation of the depth.In submerged environment,as the distance increases,the velocity of the jet decreases.The effect of confining pressure on abrasive water jet is studied by Fluent simulation,after that doing orthogonal experiment under laboratory conditions,studying the influence of different cutting parameters on the cutting ability of submerged abrasive water jet.The parameters that have a greater impact on the cutting capacity are nozzle diameter,cutting speed,pump pressure and so on,which is studied by simulation and experiment.The optimum cutting parameters of submerged abrasive water jet cutting are determined,so the cutting efficiency greatly improve,and establish the foundation for the application of submerged abrasive water jet cutting.The hole opening device is designed which working depth is 100 meters in sea.The structural design of the device is based on the cutting parameters obtained by efficiency optimization,and the device is driven by motor and gear transmission structure,which can work stably underwater and achieve the desired working requirements.The device uses a strong magnetic base as an adsorption structure,that can stably adsorb on the hull surface.Underwater cutting experiment study the influence of different length of high pressure hoses on abrasive water jet cutting,then analyze the energy loss of the jet in pipelines with different hose that the length and diameter are different;Finally,it has cut out the round steel plate that the diameter is 150 mm,that the thickness of steel used in experiment is 30 mm.The number of cuttings has a certain effect on the abrasive water jet cutting,that the cutting depth can be accumulated on the previous basis,and it is proved that the optimal cutting parameters in efficiency optimization can improve the cutting efficiency of submerged abrasive water jet.
