The self-assembly of entangled coordination polymers has always been a hot researching issue in the field of supra-molecular chemistry and crystal engineeri-ng in recent years,not only because of their interesting structural diversity,but also for their potential applications as functional materials.Although remarkable progress has been made in this field,it is still difficult to synthesize entangled motifs with tailored structures and properties,since a lot of factors,such as the temperature,pH value,solvents and so on,can impose unpredictable impact on t-he final architectures.The rational choice of organic spacers with long size and flexibility has proven to be an effective strategy to generate entangled topologie-s.In this paper,by choosing different new organic nitrogen ligand,under the c-ondition of the hot water heat and solvents,got 14 new structure of metal organ-ic skeleton compound,These compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis,IR spectroscopy,thermogravimetric analysis?TGA?and X-ray crystallography.1?Based on a V-shaped bisimidazole ligand and various dicarboxylic acids,nine entangled coordination polymers,namely [Zn?o-bdc??bips?]·2H2O?1?,[Zn2?cd c?2?bips?2]·2H2O?2?,[Zn2?bpedc?2?bips?2]?3?,[Zn?odc??bips?]·H2O?4?,[Zn2?sdc?2?b ips?2]·5H2O?5?,[Co2?sdc?2?bips?2?H2O?]·2H2O?6?,[Cd2?bpdc?2?bips?2]·3H2O?7?,[Cd2?2,6-ndc?2?bips?2?H2O?2]·2H2O?8?and [Cd?1,4-ndc??bips?]·DMF·H2O?9?,havebeen synthesized and structurally characterized.Compound 1 exhibits a 2D?2Dpolycatenane of 3-fold interpenetrated sql layers.Compound 2 shows a 2D?3Dpolycatenane of 3-fold interpenetrated sql layers.Compound 3 displays a 2D?3D polycatenane of 5-fold interpenetrated sql layers.Compound 4 exhibits a 2-fol-d interpenetration of CdSO4 networks.Compound 5 presents a 2D?3D polycate nane by three-fold interpenetrated {42·63·8}2 layers.Compound 6 features an unu sual 2D?2D polycatenane framework assembled by the entanglement of sql-layer-s containing 2-membered loops.Compound 7 exhibits a 1D?3D polycatenane b-y the 3-fold interpenetration of 3-connected ribbons.Compound 8 displays a 3-f-old interpenetration of SrAl2 networks.Compound 9 exhibits a 4-fold interpenetr-ation of dia networks in a [2+2] mode.2?Five novel entangled coordination polymers,namely,[Cd?sdc??bipm??H2O?]·DMF?10?,[Cd2?bdc?2?bipm?2?DMF?2]?11?,[Cd2?ndc?2?bipm?2]·2H2O?12?,[Cd?bdc??bipm?]?13?and [Cd2?bpdc?2?bipm?2]?14?,have been synthesized and struct-urally characterized.Compound 10 exhibits a 2-fold interpenetration of?4,4?-con-nected sql network.Compound 11 displays an inclined catenation of?6,3?-conn-ected hcb network.Compound 12 features an unusual two-fold interpenetrating p-olyrotaxane motif comprised of two interlocked sets of identical pcu nets.Comp-ounds 13 and 14 both show 3D polycatenane motifs generated by the 2D?2D parallel?3D parallel interpenetration of?4,4?-connected sql network.But in 4,o-ne net is interpenetrated by other fives;while,in 14,unusually,one net is inter-penetrated by other eights.The thermal stabilities and photochemical properties of these compounds have also been studied.
