The preparation methods of glass material used for vitrified bond are high temperature melting method,sintering method,polymer network gel method and sol-gel method.Low temperature ceramic bond with the traditional glass material by natural minerals and oxides in molten form,its disadvantages: greater energy consumption,not homogeneous glass material,but also make some volatile substances with low melting point.Compared with the traditional process,the sol-gel method has many advantages,such as uniform mixing of the molecular level,the reaction at low temperature,the component can be controlled quantitatively,the experimental equipment is simple and easy to operate.It is a new attempt to apply sol-gel technology to the preparation of vitrified bond,which provides a way to develop high performance binder.In this paper,based on the preparation of ZnO-B2O3-SiO2 glass material by sol-gel method,the alkali metal and alkaline earth metal oxides(Li2O,Na2 O,K2O,MgO,CaO)were introduced to prepare R-ZBS system glass material.The sol-gel process parameters of LZBS(type of catalyst,water content,reaction temperature,pH value)is optimized;then through differential thermal analysis,infrared spectrum analysis,XRD analysis,SEM detection of glass materials were characterized,and the analysis of its microstructure and properties;finally,according to the micro structure and properties of optimal selection of oxide species and adding amount;and effect of sintering temperature on ceramic abrasive performance were discussed,and the influence of ceramic oxide composite binder.Experimental results show that:(1)based on sol-gel method,the glass material ratio of Li2O:ZnO:B2O3:SiO2 to 3:27:10:60(LZBS-1),to investigate the influence of process parameters on the preparation of four element systemof glass material,and further optimize the process parameters.The optimum process parameters were selected as follows: using hydrochloric acid as catalyst,the value of pH was 4.5,and the amount of water added(nH2O/nethanol)was 3.6,and the temperature of water bath was about 40.(2)Li2O-ZnO-B2O3-Si O2,Na2O-ZnO-B2O3-Si O2,K2O-ZnO-B2O3-SiO2,MgO-ZnO-B2O3-SiO2,CaO-ZnO-B2O3-SiO2 glass materials were successfully prepared by sol-gel method.Through the comprehensive analysis of structure and performance,when the amount of Li2 O was 50%(LZBS-5),the bond of the best performance,the refractoriness is 780?,the maximum bending strength is 72.95 MPa,mobility is 107%,thermal expansion coefficient is 4.84 × 10-6(700 ?).The best sintering temperature is 810 ?,the best performance of the abrasive,the flexural strength is 40.03 MPa,Rockwell hardness is 52 HRB,the volume density is 2.20g/cm3,porosity is about 54.6%.(3)with the addition of Na2 O,improve liquidity,reduce refractoriness bond,but the flexural strength decreased;through the analysis,the comprehensive performance of binder ratio is L5N3,the best at this time,the fire resistance of the bond is 750?,liquidity is 126%,the flexural strength is 56.27 MPa.
