Jet reactor has many advantages,such as simple,convenient,and the low cost,which has a wide range of application in petrochemical industry and other fields.This paper introduce the structure of jet reactor,application,and the latest research and development.Illustrate the principles of fluid dynamics and methods of fluid motion.Different types of Venturi liquid-liquid jet reactor structure on its mixing effect is studied through a combination of theoretical calculation and numerical simulation.1.Carrying on a preliminary selection of reactor in the way of theoretical calculation.According to the conservation laws and experimental data from Sookolov,the characteristic curve equation is used to calculate the injection coefficient of maximum efficiency and the best cross section ratio.On the basis of this data,spray nozzle,diameter of receiver,and the relative structure sizes of mixing chamber are designed.2.launching the simulating calculation.The whole fluid is divided into cells by finite element method,then the computational fluid dynamics simulation software CFD is used to analyze the fluid flow field and turbulent process of Venturi liquid-liquid jet reactor,introduce mixing index M,Kolmogoroff ?,micro mixing time,and intensity fluctuations PSD and explore the effect on the different structure sizes of the Venturi jet reactor.As a Result,when the length of the mixing chamber is greater than 6 times the diameter of the mixing chamber,the fluid mix was completed indeed,longer mixing chamber will cause the over mixing,and lead to resistance loss,so 6 times?8 times the diameter of the mixing chamber is advisable.When the reactor contraction ?1is less than0.33,the effect of macro mixing is ideal.There is no significant impact on the mixing for the differences of expansion angle,but when expansion angle is smaller,it is easier and faster for total pressure to descend and reach an equilibrium.Refer to theoretical calculation,the appropriate expansion angle is 8°.The numerical simulation results can provide references in order to further optimize the structure of venturi jet reactor.
