| Sandwich structure has been widely used in the field of the high-speed trains’floor,aerospace engineering,and automobile manufacturing.It has become the main structure with light weight,anti-vibration,high specific strength,high crashworthiness.Corrugated core sandwich panel is one of sandwich structures;corrugated aluminum sandwich panel is a kind of new high-quality aluminum panels with the sheets.The cores are connected to the sheets using the adhesive.The reasonable design of the sandwich structure affects the crashworthiness of the structure,the crashworthiness of sandwich panel has close relations with the arrangement,configuration,angle and height of core cell and some dimensional parameters,such as core cell width,the material thickness and so on.The corrugated aluminum sandwich panel has been researched and optimized based on the experiments and finite element analysis method.At the beginning of the paper,recent developments of the corrugated sandwich panel have been briefly summarized.Then,the compressive experiments of the one layered corrugated sandwich panels with different configuration cores and mutli-layered trapezoidal corrugated sandwich panels with different arrangement and different numbers of layers core.The analysis of the results of the compressive experiments showed that the force-displacement curves of the corrugated sandwich panels under the quasi-static load apparently consist of three stages,namely elastic stage,plateau stage and the densification stage.Different corrugated sandwich panels have the different deformation modes under the quasi-static load.The staggered-arranged corrugated sandwich panel has better mechanical properties.The number of layers core has larger influence on the force-displacement curves of the regularly-arranged corrugated sandwich panels.With the increase of the number of layers core,the energy absorption performance has been improved.After that,the finite element analysis of the quasi-static experiments has been done in order to prove the validity of the finite element analysis.In the last,crashworthiness optimization design of the multi-layered trapezoidal corrugated sandwich panels have been researched using the finite element techniques and response surface method.During the crashworthiness optimization design of the corrugated sandwich panels,the material thicknesses of the core and interlayer sheets are firstly optimized with specific energy absorption as objective function.Then,the configuration of the core cell with optimum thicknesses is optimized in the field of crashworthiness.The experimental and numerical analysis results and research methods for the application of corrugated sandwich panels provide some technical support.Meanwhile,the conclusions have certain guiding significance and valuable reference for the selection of the parameters of corrugated sandwich panels in the structural design. |
