Friction stir welding as a solid phase welding technology,has been developed very rapidly for its unique welding advantages such as non-melting,integrity,automation,simplification and amenity in the country.It has been widely used in the aerospace,shipbuilding,automobile manufacturing and power electronics and other fields.But in the design process of welding equipment,there is also a problem that the main parameters in accordance with welding force rely on foreign empirical formula.This paper face on friction stir welding process force measurement,study on the development of friction stir welding experimental platform,and platform applications.This paper made the following research contents:This paper analyzed the existing friction stir welding force measurement method,pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of the main measurement methods,combined with laboratory conditions,proposed the development of friction stir welding force measurement platform based on the torque sensor solutions.The development of friction stir welding force measurement platforms included sensor selection,design of installation methods,design of installation parts and the structures of the data acquisition system.The installation parts were designed based on the structure of the experimental processing center,including mounting flange design.After the design of the parts,made and installed them,and finally structured the data acquisition system to complete the development of the platform.Support software for Friction Stir Welding design.This software aided designed the friction stir welding equipment based on the detection of the welding force;and designed the tracking module of welding quality to establish the process parameters database,and designed the optimization modules of process parameters based on interactive and neural network.The applications of friction stir welding experiment platform.After the installation of friction stir welding experimental platform,firstly calibrated the platform for measurement.Secondly designed friction stir welding experiments,carried out friction stir welding experiments and measured the quality of joint,analyzed measurement results.Finally selected the welding process parameters of the better quality,made the forging force detection experiments,and researched the forging force variation.
