Friction stir welding was invented by the welding institute of UK at the end of last Century,which is a new kind of aluminum alloy solid-phase welding technology.The process of friction stir welding is simple,which doesn't need filler and protective gas,the joint is good,high welding quality,the advantages of high efficiency low pollution-free;These advantages make the friction stir welding technology has been developing rapidly,and has been widely used in aerospace,shipbuilding and Marine industry,railway and the automotive industry and electrical industry.With the increasing of friction stir welding technology,the requirement for the quality of welding is even higher.The force of the welding process has a close relationship with welding quality,so,it's very significant for improving welding quality and welding equipment and optimizing the law of welding technology to measure the welding force accurately.In this Paper,the author designed a welding force monitoring platform according to the characteristics of the welding force,including the hardware and software system,analysis the overall scheme of the welding force monitoring platform at the sane time.At last,the author completed the experiment of welding force monitoring using the platform.The article mainly includes the following contents:Friction stir welding technology is introduced and the research background and significance,and the domestic and foreign research present situation of subject related technology are analyzed and summarized.According to the requirements of the welding force monitoring purpose,background,and,the existing load device from the way of induction and the physical type of force sensor are analyzed;Main advantages and disadvantages based on the analysis of the contrast different device,combining with the characteristics of the stress of the friction stir welding when the welding and completed based on piezoelectric force monitoring platform in spindle nose of overall scheme design?Complete the force sensor module design and analysis.Mainly includes the overall design of a force sensor module,force sensor selection,the size of the quartz crystal is designed,and force sensing module part of the body structure design and mechanics analysis,etc.t the same time complete the overall scheme of Tool Interface and Spindle Adapter,and completing mechanics analyses of Tool Interface and Spindle Adapter by using the ANSYS finite element analysis software tool.Force sensing module is studied when working under high rotation speed signal acquisition and processing technology,determined the in inconvenience when using the wire USES the wireless signal transmission solutions and wireless power supply solutions,to complete the charge amplifier,wireless communication module and wireless power supply module design and development.Based on LABVIEW virtual instrument technology,using modularized software design method of welding power monitoring software system is developed,mainly including data acquisition,signal processing,data display and data management module development,etc.aWelding force monitoring platform was evaluated,the integrated measurement error of platform is less than 3%FS;while complete the engineering application testing of the welding force monitoring platform.The research results of full text and innovation points are summarized,and prospect the next research direction and focus.On this paper,we study the friction stir welding force monitoring platform to optimize the welding process parameters and improve the quality of welding and welding equipment design provides important support.
