This paper summarizes the design ideas of predecessors.Developed HSX corrugated wire gauze packing.The corrugated structure of its packing of the upper section of a straight line,the middle of two paragraphs were 30° straight and 45 ° arccircular and linear with a smooth transition in the form of the lower end of the 90 ° line,Using linear corrugated structure and the combination of curve-type ripple.The surface of the filler is roughened to enhance the film-forming properties of the liquid film.Under normal temperature and pressure of experimental conditions,Cold pilot model experiments has been conducted in 500mm-diameter plexiglass column packed with new designed HSX type structured packing.The hydrodynamic performance and mass-transfer efficiency of HSX type structured with different specific geometrical area was analyzed and compared HSX 125 with 125X.The results show that the column pressure drop of HSX type packing with the same specific surface area increases with the increase of the kinetic energy factor and spray density,While the flooding velocity decreased with the increase of spray density.The dry pressure drop of HSX type packing with specific surface area of 125m2/m3 is 30%lower than that of the conventional X-type packing.As except,In the experimental operating gas kinetic energy factor and spray density range.The wet pressure drop of the HSX125 type packing is 21.9%lower than that of the 125X type packing;The mass transfer effect of the HSX125 type packing is better than the 125X type packing,The average value decreased by 10.2%;HSX125-type packing in the operational flexibility is also greater than the X125-type packing,The flooding gas velocity increased by an average of 6.5%.In this paper,the classical fluid mechanics performance correlation model is selected to model the HSD-type packing with different surface area,To accept the corresponding model fitting correlation and compare calculated value and the experimental value.The results show that fitting the relative deviation of correlation values with the experimental values are within 10%,and the fitting correlation is more accurate in predicting the hydrodynamic performance of HSX.Based on the rational analysis of the packing structure,the physical model of the packing was established.According to the previous model,the appropriate assumptions were made.Combined with the special corrugation structure of the HSX packing,the equivalent length and packing line factor were put forward.The hydrodynamic model of HSX packing is deduced.The model calculated values and experimental data were compared,the relative deviation between the two is within 5%.The results show that the new HSX wet tower pressure drop model has good reliability.
