Because of Shenhua Shendong mining area setting coal pillar has waste a large number of coal resources,to solve this problem using Roof cutting and pressure relief Gob-side entry retaining. Shenhua Shendong mining area Halagou coal mine 12201 working face carry out the Roof cutting and pressure relief Gob-side entry retaining project, analyses key parameters about kerve ,use numerical simulation to check the design, on the basis of data which come from mining area pressure, analyze the influence distance of support pressure, compare and analysis the same and diffidence about traditional gob-side entry retaining as well as roof cutting and pressure relief gob-side entry retaining, figure up the roof pressure, obtain the two way's supporting intensity, thus judge the two's advantages and disadvantages.This paper based on the theoretical analysis and engineering practice, the numerical simulation to analyze the above issues from multiple perspectives, such as the following main conclusions are:(1) Analysis Halagou coal mine's engineering geological condition,analysis the theory about Gob-side entry retaining and Roof cutting pressure relief, on the basis of predecessors' research to bulid mechanics model ,also found that the key factor is kerve height and kerve angle;(2) On the basis of Halagou coal mine's engineering geological condition to design,using the most suitable cutting kerve can ensure the project success,using this design can make sure the area of the mining area are collapsed ,meanwhile the roadway of Gob-side entry retaining are not influenced. Using numerical simulation to compare with the other kerve found that the most suitable kereve height is 6m, the most suitable kereve anglet is 10°, the most suitable kereve distance is 600mm;(3) The article has a system describe the progress of Roof cutting and pressure relief Gob-side entry retaining in shallow buried deep composite roof thin coal seam's working face support influence distance,found that using Roof cutting and pressure relief Gob-side entry retaining in Halagou coal mine ,the advanced support pressue influence is nearly 25m, support pressue influence is nearly 90-150m;(4) After theoretical calculation, it was discovered that using Roof cutting and pressure relief Gob-side entry retaining compare with traditional Gob-side entry retaining has a lot of advantages ,the Roof cutting and pressure relief Gob-side entry retaining has smaller roof pressure compaer with traditional Gob-side entry retaining,meanwhile using Roof cutting and pressure relief Gob-side entry retaining are more safety than traditional Gob-side entry retaining, Roof cutting and pressure relief Gob-side entry retaining has a distinct advantage.
