The initial preheating impact experiment on the sample has important application background in the engineering fields such as warhead/armor material selection, accurate determination of nuclear weapon ignition time, and the mechanism of laser inertial confinement fusion.Furthermore,it can also be a solution for the physical and chemical problems in the earth's interior,e.g.,the composition, status, and the development of the core.As a widely used standard and supporting material in high pressure researches, the preparation and characterization of high temperature anti-oxidation coating for molybdenum(Mo)is one of the engineering problems to be solved.Aiming at this problem, the following aspects were carried out in this paper:1.Through literature research,we have a certain understanding on the oxidation mechanism of Mo,the performance requirements of anti-oxidation coating, coating materials and structure, and the preparation process. We selected halide embedding method as a candidate solution for the preparation of MoSi2 coating on Mo surface, and optimized the corresponding preparation technology.2.Based on the laboratory existing conditions,we re-designed and manufactured the solid infiltration processing device, which can be applied to the preparation of MoSi2 coating by halide embedding method. The problem of leakage of reaction products in the high-temperature and high internal pressure condition was solved.3.By optimizing and adjusting the composition and proportion of the penetrating agent, the anti-oxidation coating with good apparent state was prepared.By X-ray diffraction(XRD)analysis and electron microscope scanning,it was found that, the main component of the layer is MoSi2.and the layer had compact organization and good flattening.4.Simulating the heating methods in the preheating impact experiment, using electromagnetic induction method, the Mo substrate and workpiece with MoSi2 coating were heated to 1600? in air,and the temperature was kept for 5 minutes. The analysis shows that, the MoSi2 coating has a good protection on Mo substrate.5.A sample protection device suitable for electromagnetic induction heating of Mo was designed and processed. The sample chamber, the lower support, the heat shield components ad sample formed a closed cavity.Argon was used to prevent oxidation.Heating experiments show that this scheme has obvious effect. In general,we have prepared MoSi2 anti-oxidation coating for Mo to be used in the preheating impact experiments, designed and processed the anti-oxidation protection device.Combination of the two schemes can be used for a longer time, effective anti-oxidation protection for Mo at 1600?.In the future work,we will further optimize the coating preparing process and device design,in order to prevent oxidation of Mo at much higher temperature.
