With the rapid economic and social development,Nickel,as a strategic metal,because of its unique physical and chemical properties and mechanical properties,more and more widely used in various areas of the national economy.From the perspective of reserves and development of nickel resources in the world,China's nickel reserves are mainly in the middle and lower levels of other nickel-rich countries,and mainly related to cobalt-nickel,nickel-copper and other related minerals.At the same time,China's nickel smelting and refining technology and the world's advanced level there are still some gaps.At present,in China's electrolytic nickel metallurgical industry,the vast majority of nickel production using nickel sulfide or chloride solution system,the use of insoluble anode sets of diaphragm bags running.The method originated in the middle of the last century,the diaphragm bag to sash as raw material,high energy consumption,low production efficiency,difficult to clean and other shortcomings gradually highlighted.In the actual production,the solution is not easy to pass through the diaphragm bag,high temperature resistance and resistance to strong oxidant erosion ability is poor,short life and easy aging,replacement cycle is short;when the electrolyte contains chloride components,Cl-in the anode is oxidized release chlorine,So that the environment and personnel by the great harm,and the entire production system of the production equipment caused serious corrosion.With the increasing environmental laws and policies,many companies have to abandon the long-standing high-polluting process technology,to seek excellent environmental benefits and economic benefits of the electrolysis system to reduce and eliminate Cl2 pollution.Both the economic friendly and environmentally friendly new nickel production refining process with the economic and social development and urgent demand,the old high energy consumption,high pollution production methods need to replace.This paper analyzes the development status of metal nickel electrolytic refining process,puts forward the new production technology of ion exchange membrane electrodeposition of refined nickel,and develops single membrane double chamber electrodeposited nickel equipment to promote the technological innovation of nickel refining industry.The paper was tested by homemade single membrane dual chamber membrane.The experiment was divided into two main parts.In the first part,the main factors such as nickel ion concentration,current density,temperature,sulfuric acid concentration,plate spacing,membrane type and so on were studied in this paper.The single factor experiment and multi-factor orthogonal expeeriment are finished.To explore the best process parameters of the membrane electrodeposited nickel process.The experimental results show that the influence of each factor on the operation effect of the membrane electrodeposition process is:current density> temperature> nickel ion concentration> stirring speed.The optimum conditions were as follows: current density 350 A/m2,electrode spacing 30 mm,temperaturecontrol near 55 ?,nickel ion concentration 50 g/L,boric acid concentration 10 g/L.Under these conditions,the surface of the resulting nickel product is flat,dense and uniform,the edge does not appear spikes and nodulation phenomenon,current efficiency,energy consumption medium.n the second part,the effects of conventional additives on the electrodeposition of nickel in the electrodeposition process are investigated,and the single factor test and orthogonal test are also carried out.The experimental results show that the effects of additives on the current efficiency are sorted by: sodium dodecyl sulfate>1,4-butynylene glycol> saccharin> thiourea.The effects of additives on energy consumption were as follows: saccharin> 1,4-butynylene glycol> sodium dodecyl sulfate> thiourea.Based on the above two orthogonal test results,the optimum additives were as follows: saccharin concentration 1.5 g/L,thiourea concentration 0.05 g/L,sodium dodecyl sulfate concentration0.15 g/L,1,4-Butylene glycol concentration 0.1 g/L.At this point,the current efficiency of94.55%,energy consumption of 5874 kW?h/t,the nickel surface of the product was dense and bright.At the same time,the paper analyzes the economic benefits of the whole experiment process.Single-membrane double-chamber sulphate system Electrodeposited nickel process,not only can the nickel sulfate in the cathode recovery of the cathode,and in the anode chamber to sulfate ions into concentrated sulfuric acid for acid recovery,to achieve the complete raw materials use and by-product recycling.The use of membrane electrodeposition method compared with the traditional nickel electrodeposition process,the production cost per ton of nickel products can be about 3957.53 yuan,with good economic benefits.At the same time,the method can also be used to recover the high concentration of nickel-containing wastewater,the recovery of nickel.It has a very good environmental benefits.In this paper,a large number of experiments and analysis show that the use of ion exchange membrane electrolysis method to achieve the feasibility of nickel refining recovery.In the future,by improving the structure of the process components,the development of excellent performance of the ion exchange membrane,reasonable control of the operating conditions,etc.,there is hope that the ion exchange membrane electrolysis technology in the hydrometallurgical industry in large-scale application to promote the transformation of the metal refining industry And technological innovation.
