With the properties of environment friendly,high strength,shrink resistantancy,dye characteristics,and chemical stability,Recycled-Polyethylene terephthalate(PET)fiber products have been widely used in fabrics,plastics and other fields.However,its flammability and combustion would limit the application.With the scarcity of oil resources,recycled polyester has become the best alternative to traditional polyester which has aroused widespread concern.There are two main ways to promote its capacity of fire-retardant.Blending modification and copolymerizing modification.Blending modification is simple,convenient and efficient.The main purpose of this study was:Blending modified the recycled polyester by using two commercially available flame retardants UNPFR and PSPPP respectively.In order to achieve the property of flame retardant.Thermal degradation stability of organic flame retardants,inorganic nano particles and recycled polyester composite system was analysised;The microstructure,mechanical properties,crystallization properties and flame retardant property of the fire retardant fiber;The main results are as follows.(1)Based on the thermal stability results of flame retardant additives and flame-retardant PET by themogravimetric analysis(TGA),compared the differences of all kinds of performance of flame retardant additives and fibers.(2)The spinning process showed that the nanosized inorganic OMMT which was superfined was a kind of efficiency nano particle for the fire retardant PET fiber.(3)The result showed that the spinnability would be worse with the increase of the content of flame retardant additives and nano sized inorganic particle,and would be influenced by the spinning technics.Spinning process was smooth and stable.(4)The crystallization properties of flame retardant fiber had been studied by DSC,XRD.The melting temperature(Tm)would decrease with the increase of nano sized inorganic particle and organic flame retardant additives.The crystallinity of the fire retardant fiber would increase with the increase of the additives amount.The melting crystallization temperature was higher than RPET chip.Two organic flame retardants showed different effects on the crystallization behavior of fire retardant fiber.However,the addition of inorganic nano particles improved the crystallinity of flame retardant fibers.(5)It was found that the orientation,sonic modulus and mechanical strength of the flame retardants PET decreased with the increase of the flame retardant additive amount.The tensile strength of the flame retardant fibers decreased with the increases of the PSPPP and also decreased with the increase of the OMMT amount at high OMMT amount.
