So far, the formation of C-N, C-S bonds was mainly achieved in the homogeneous reaction system. In this manner, preeminent experimental results could be obtained, but some defect still would be found, such as tough to recycle of catalyst and so on. Zeolite is a kind of porous material with special pore structure and larger surface area, which has the characteristics of adsorption, ion exchange, catalysis and so on. In recent years, zeolite catalysts have been widely used in organic synthesis reaction. Therefore, we used zeolite as catalyst to realize the reaction of C-N, C-S bond formation. This paper mainly consists of three parts. The first part principally introduces the reaction of C-N and C-S bonds formation in the last few years, and the structural characteristics of zeolite and its application in the organic synthesis reaction. The second part works as follows: acid zeolite Beta was successfully synthesized by hydrothermal method and its structural characteristics was analyzed a series of characterization. We found that the acidic zeolite Beta has a high catalytic activity in the N-alkylation of amide with alcohol (C-N bond formation). Finally, the reason of its high catalytic activity and the reaction mechanism were studied in detail. In the third part, the basic zeolite Cu/ETS-10 was prepared by equal volume impregnation method, and studied its application in the reaction of C-S bond formation to prepare alkenyl sulfone compounds. Cu/ETS-10 with mass fraction of 3.0% had the best catalytic activity comparing with the catalyst which load different metals and a supported amount of catalyst.
