As the current increasingly serious environmental pollution and resource shortages,the market put the eyes on the biodegradable bio-based resin composite.The bio-based composite is composed of matrix,reinforcement and interface,which are all made from the biomass.This paper adopts a kind of degradable new type of itaconic acid Epoxy resin(EIA)as a matrix,the jute fibers in natural fibers are used as reinforcements,the Jute/EIA composites was prepared.First,this paper aimed to study the effect of surface treatment on the interface properties and mechanical properties of jute fiber reinforced itaconic acid epoxy resin composite.In this paper,the surface treatment of jute fiber was carried out by using sodium hydroxide solution and silane coupling agent solution to improve the properties of the composites.The effects of different concentrations of sodium hydroxide solution and silane coupling agent solution on the properties of the composites were investigated.The results show that when the jute fiber was treated by alkali,hemicellulose and lignin of the jute fiber can be removed to improve the roughness of the fiber surface;When the concentration of sodium hydroxide solution is 5%,the mechanical properties of the composites are the best.The jute fiber increased surface activity,reduced water absorption and surface polarity by silane coupling agent solution treatment.When the treatment concentration is 5%,their compatibility is best;when the concentration of sodium hydroxide and silane coupling agent is 5%at the same time,the interface between fiber and resin is the best.The bending properties,interfacial shear strength and impact strength of the surface treated Jute/EIA composites were improved compared with those of the untreated Jute/EIA composites.Second,the purpose of this paper is to study the effect of cellulose nanocrystals(CNCs)on interface properties and mechanical properties of the surface treatment jute fiber reinforced itaconic acid epoxy resin composites.By using cellulose nanocrystals(CNCs)as nano-reinforced materials to modified EIA epoxy resin,using modified epoxy resin(CNCs-EIA)as the matrix and the surface treated jute fiber as a reinforcement to prepare jute fiber reinforced bio-based epoxy resin composites.The effects of different concentrations of cellulose nanocrystals on the properties of itaconic acid epoxy resin and jute fiber reinforced itaconic acid epoxy resin composites were investigated.The results show that the interface between EIA resin and jute fiber is better by adding CNCs,and the mechanical properties of the composites are also improved much.As the CNCs has a large number of hydroxyl and carboxyl functional groups and large specific surface area,the introduction of CNCs make EIA resin and jute fiber more closely.When the concentration was 0.5%the composites have a better interface.
