High-speed motorized spindle is a high-tech product which combines mechanical, motor, automatic detection and automatic control technology and it combines machine tool spindle with spindle motor.Motorized spindle is a high-speed rotating electromechanical components,which the core technology includes high-speed rotor shaft design and assembly technology, motor design technology, motor drive control technology, high-speed rotor dynamic balancing technology, etc.In order to improve the performance of milling high speed and high power spindle and realize its application in machining center. This paper focuses on the design of high speed and high power motorized spindle unit.Firstly, the research status and market situation of high speed and high power spindle used in milling at home and abroad are comprehensively investigated. Through analysing the results of foreign and domestic electric spindle gap and the market demand we put forward the technical index of electric spindle. On the basis of previous step, this article determine the development route of the spindle, including the overall plan layout; the selection and configuration of high speed motorized spindle bearings; precision assembly technology of high-speed high-power spindle lubrication and cooling system design and electric spindle.Secondly, the main design parameters and device control methods of high power motorized spindle motor are designed and determined. And temperature field analysis and modal analysis of high-power motorized spindle based on workbench software are studied in this paper.Finally, the comprehensive performance of high-power motorized spindle is tested and analyzed by building the experimental platform of motorized spindle. Test results show that this type of spindle speed can reach 30000r/min, the spindle static precision is less than or equal to 2?m ;in the oil and gas lubrication and load conditions, the spindle vibration is less than 1mm/s, the spindle front bearing housing at a temperature less than 20?. All Reach the design target.This study provides a theoretical basis and technical support for the design and development of high speed milling with large power electric spindle unit, developed a motorized spindle comprehensive performance test platform and provide reference for evaluating the comprehensive performance of spindle and products.
