The cutting fluid wastewater is a headache problem for the water treatment industry due to its high COD concentration, high oil content, complex composition and difficult biodegradability. With the continuous development of the mechanical processing industry, the output of cutting fluid wastewater is increasing, the difficulty of handling is also increases, and the environment pollution caused by cutting fluid is also increasing. Meanwhile it brings a great burden and higher costs to enterprises, especially those who do not have the cutting fluid wastewater treatment equipment, such as small and medium size enterprises. So looking for a viable way to deal with cutting fluid wastewater and an equipment can be used for small and medium-sized processing enterprises is extremely urgent. In this paper, use the cutting fluid wastewater that produced by a certain enterprise in Qingdao as the research object, and the COD content (chemical oxygen demand) in the cutting fluid was taken as the main test index. The combination process of flocculation-UV/Fenton oxidation-activated carbon adsorption was determined by theory and experiment to deal with the cutting fluid wastewater. At the same time, we also conducted experimental research to the factors that influencing the effect of each process, such as dosage, reaction temperature, reaction temperature and time and so on. We finally obtained the optimum reaction conditions for the treatment of cutting fluid on the basis of the experiment and data processing result. The cutting fluid wastewater has been in line with the three emission standards of "Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard" (GB8978-1996) after used the combined process. The treated wastewater COD content is 450mg / L (the emission standard is 500mg /L), the dissolved solids is 1200mg / L(the emission standard is 2000mg / L,), the ammonia nitrogen is 20mg / L(the emission standard is 35mg / L), and the suspended solids is 140mg / L (the emission standard is 400mg / L). This method provides a reference for the mechanical processing enterprises of their sewage treatment system.According to the cutting fluid treatment process, we did a design of all the components and parts for the cutting fluid treatment integrative Machine, and set up a three-dimensional model; Analyzed the stress and strain conditions of the stress concentration parts in different working conditions, such as filter Plate, movable heavy end piece and frame and so on, and verify the correctness of the design.Made the prototype on the basis of the design scheme, and tested the performance of each part of the cutting fluid treatment integrative machine, including the oil removal effect of the grease trap, the dosing accuracy of the dosing unit, the temperature of the reactor and the dewatering rate of the filter press and so on. Finally,we selected four samples randomly of cutting fluid wastewater and processed by this cutting fluid treatment integrative machine, and got the follows result respectively of the COD content: 420mg / L, 253mg / L, 160mg / L and 320mg / L , all the treated samples have up to the three emission standards of the "Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard" (GB8978-1996).
