GNSS technology has the advantages of positioning speed, fast positioning accuracy, wide operating time, real-time, easy way of operation and so on, and has been applied in a wide range of fields. With the development of GNSS positioning technology Got a lot of development. Compared with the early GNSS, Samsung GNSS has made great progress in positioning accuracy and speed. In the past, the GNSS is often unable to meet the measurement requirements due to the accuracy problem. In this paper, the feasibility of using the Samsung GNSS in the ground movement observation instead of the traditional leveling measurement and the wire measurement is studied as follows:In the experimental area (a coal mine 11303 face) on the surface of the surface movement observation station were using Samsung GNSS receiver, level and wire three kinds of measurement methods to observe the results of the two measurement methods for error analysis, and GNSS measurement data is compared with the wire and leveling data,and the feasibility of using GNSS-RTK technology in surface movementmonitoring is analyzed with engineering examples.The classification of the ground monitoring stations arranged in different environments on the working surface, and the accuracy of the acquisition of the coordinate information of the observation stations in GNSS receivers in different working environments. The results show that the GNSS-RTK technique can reach the centimeter level in the well-planned cultivated land, and the precision is stable and the reliability is high. The accuracy of the GNSS-RTK can reach 0.04m in the area of the experimental area, Of the area can not get a fixed solution,and the accuracy of instability. In the actual project, the cultivated land is the place where the change of the surface movement is large, and the surface is relatively stable and the change is small in the village near the mining area. Therefore, the relative error of the result measured by GNSS in cultivated land is small, and the change of surface movement in the village is small and the measurement result is very unstable, so it will produce great relative error. From the results analysis, it is feasible to use GNSS instead of traditional level and wire measurement in cultivated land. However, the measured data is not very satisfactory. The measured data of GNSS in villages with stable surface can not meet the requirement of surface movement observation.
