Potassium chloride is an important source of potash fertilizer in agricultural,which mainly produced by froth flotation using octadecylamine as collector.In the process of potassium mining produced a large number of low-grade mud-containing potassium.And the presence of mud has seriously affected the production efficiency of potassium chloride.The slime can hinder collector adsorbed on potash ore surface and floated with potassium chloride,thus reduce the recovery and purity of potassium chloride.In this study,the floated Principle of slime and potash ore and the influence of mineral slurry on flotation process of potash ore were researched.The dynamics and characterization of phase diagram of slime also researched:(1)The main components of slime of Mahai salt lake are feldspar,clay,calcium sulfate,calcium carbonate and so on.Different types of slime floated in the deionized water with octadecylamine hydrochloride,results show that quartz and feldspar can be floated,kaolin cannot be floated.Potash ore floated in the salt saturated solution with octadecylamine hydrochloride,results show that the best collector concentration of potassium chloride is 1×10-4mol/L and the sodium chloride cannot be floated.(2)The flotation laws of salt-slime mixture were studied;results show that the degree of influence on the flotation of potassium chloride was weakening by the order of kaolin,feldspar(orthoclase and albite)and quartz.Feldspar and quartz mainly affect the recovery of potassium chloride by entrainment.The kaolin has the greatest influence on the recovery of potassium chloride due to its special physical and chemical properties.Kaolin floated in the sodium chloride solution with octadecylamine hydrochloride,results show that the increase in the amount of kaolin and in the concentration of sodium chloride solution will increase the flotation foam.Because the increase of solution viscosity and surface tension.(3)The first-order reaction kinetics and the secondary reaction were used to simulate the mechanical flotation,results show that the mechanism of flotation is similar to the chemical reaction.Quartz and potassium feldspar meet the first-order flotation kinetics and albite and kaolin meet the secondary flotation kinetics.The KCl-H2 O phase diagram with slime variables was used to character the flotation process of salt-slime mixture,results show that the effect of slime on the recovery of potassium chloride can be judged according to the convergence degree of concentrate line and tailing line in phase diagram,the greater the convergence,the greater the impact on the flotation of potash ore.The researcher in this thesis expands the Influence of Mineral slime on Flotation Process of potash ore.It provides the basis for the actual production of potassium chloride and it has the scientific significance to solve the problem of using the low-grade potash in China.
