Becauese of its good wear resistance,corrosion resistance and high hardness,strength,Martensitic stainless steel is widely used in water conservancy,automotive,medical equipment and other fields.However,when machining this kind of material,large cutting force,serious work hardening,easy to stick are generally occurred,so it become a typical hard machinability materials.Therefore,the study of martensitic stainless steel cutting performance and reasonable optimization of cutting parameters are good for improve the processing efficiency of martensitic stainless steel,reduce processing costs.In this paper,martensitic stainless steel was selected as research object,by using the method of combine experiment and simulation.mainly studying the influence of cutting Parameters to steel milling force,surface roughness,temperature,tool wear and so on in milling process of martensitic stainless steel.optimized the cutting parameters.The main contents and innovations of the study are as follows:(1)The milling force was studied by multi-factor and mult-level orthogonal experiments.The influence of cutting factors to milling force was analysed by range-method and variance-method,and got the influence degree of each cutting factor to milling force.the surface roughness of martensitic stainless steel was studied By using surface response method.the influence of cutting parameters to Surface Roughness was analyzed under single-facter and multiple factor interaction.Establishing a mathematical prediction model for surface roughness,with this model as a restriction,the high effciency as optimization goal.the cutting parameters was optimized by using matalab and a set of optimal cutting parameters was selected,which can provide reference for rational selection of cutting parameters.(2)The temperature distribution of workpiece and tool were researched by DEFORM-3D software,the temperature change during the process of tool's cut in and cut out and the influence of cutting factors to milling temperature were analyzed.(3)By using full factor design method measured the tool life data under diffierent cutting factors,got diffierent tool wear laws under diffierent speed.The influence degree of feed rate and cutting depth to tool wear was analyzed.With the maximum profit as optimazation goal,put forwards a new optimization index for cutting parameters.By experiment and actual production verified the index can achieve the purpose of maximizing profits.
