Ionic crosslinking is also called salt crosslinking,Ionomer is a kind of physical crosslinking material,which has many unique properties.In this study,three kinds of ionomer materials were prepared by neutralization reaction between the two carboxyl groups and three kinds of alkali in the process of melting neutralization.The two kinds of carboxylic acid matrix materials were ethylene acrylic acid copolymer(EAA)and Polyethylene Grafted Maleic Anhydride(PE-g-MAH),three kinds of alkali were sodium hydroxide(NaOH),zinc hydroxide(Zn(OH)2)and magnesium hydroxide(Mg(OH)2),The structure and performance of the corresponding ionomer were analyzed.Then the structure and performance of the corresponding ionomer were analyzed.Three kinds of metal ions of ionomers were prepared by melt neutralization reaction with EAA and sodium hydroxide,magnesium hydroxide and zinc hydroxide.The structure and properties of the ionomer were tested and characterized.The infrared spectra showed the new characteristic absorption peak of the carboxylate,In the XRD spectra,the ion peak was found in the ionomer compared with pure material,In the scanning electron microscope(SEM),the ion aggregation area was also observed.The results of differential calorimeter(DSC)and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)showed that,with the increase of the degree of neutralization,both the melting point and the crystallization temperature shift to low temperature,The thermal stability is improved obviously.Meanwhile the effects of the degree of neutralization,reaction time and reaction temperature on the tensile properties of the ionomer were also investigated,the results showed that the reaction condition was 180? 12 min,and the tensile strength of the ionomer was the largest,and the greater the theoretical neutralization degree,the greater the tensile strength.Maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene and sodium hydroxide,magnesium hydroxide and zinc hydroxide prepared three different ionomers by melt neutralization reaction,The structure and properties of the ionomer were characterized and tested,we found that,carboxylate groups were also formed in the polyethylene ionomer,it is also shown that the ionic crosslinking bond is formed,however,the degree of crosslinking was obviously lower than that of EAA type ionomer,Performance in the improvement of mechanical properties and thermal stability is not obvious.The results of TGA show that the thermal stability of the three kinds of polymers can be improved slightly after crosslinking,The crystallization and melting peak became shorter and wider in DSC curves.Meanwhile the effects of the type of metal ions and the degree of neutralization on the tensile properties of these polymers were also investigated.Research shows,When the degree of neutralization is 60%,the tensile strength of the three kinds of ionomer is the largest,and under the same degree of neutralization,the tensile strength of magnesium ionomer was the largest,and that of sodium ionomer was the smallest.Compatibilization of PP/PA6 blends was carried out by using EAA ionomer.The effects of the amount of Compatibilizer on the phase morphology,mechanical properties and crystallization properties of the blends were studied.The addition of compatibilizer greatly reduced the particle size of the dispersed phase,uniform particle distribution,at the same time,the tensile strength and impact strength of the blends were improved,and the crystallization temperature of PP and PA6 decreased.
