Heat-radiation aluminum profiles has the beautiful appearance,the light weight,the good heat dissipation and other advantages.It has been widely used in the aerospace,rail transportation,construction and other industries.While its cantilever length is long,its tooth spacing is small,its tongue ratio is large and its shape also has other characteristics.So in actual production process,the success rate of this type of product test has been low,people often need to change the mould and repair the mould again and again to meet the production requirements.Therefore,it is necessary to study the forming process of radiation aluminum profiles.In Chinese aluminum extrusion industries,most of die designs still use experience analogies.The production cycle is long,the repair and trial process of the mould is complicated,the quality of products is difficult to be ensured.In order to solve these problems better,there are two different structural models of radiator aluminum profiles as the object of study in this paper.The simulation of the extrusion process was carried out by numerical simulation.And according to the simulation results the technology or the mold was optimized.According to the characteristics of the two profiles,the corresponding mold structure is designed and the strength is checked.Then,the simulation software deform-3D is used to simulate the extrusion process of the short tooth radiator.The forming process of the profile is analyzed from the aspects of forming results,equivalent strain field,temperature field,load-stroke curve and so on.At the same time,the influence of different extrusion speed on the mold and load of the profile was discussed.And finally find out the extrusion speed range suitable for the profile.In addition,this paper also uses the software Hyperxtrude to simulate the extrusion process of the high density tooth profile.Because of the profile appeared warping,blockage and other defects during the process of production,So this article utilizes the original design of the mold structure for virtual test firstly.Compared the simulation results with the actual test the reasons for the failures of the test mode.And then combine the test mode and simulation situation,the mold structure was optimized and improvedand meet the production technical requirements finally.The results above show that the modified mold structure meets the requirements of the radiator aluminum profiles extrusion.At the same time,the research results and conclusions of this paper also laid the foundation for the design / analysis / optimization of the actual aluminum extrusion die.
