Acrylic emulsion adhesives have many excellent properties,such as excellent adhesion properties,good anti-oxidation,anti-aging performance and non-toxic environmental protection which makes it wide range of bonding materials.Water-based neoprene latex not only has high bonding strength and high flexibility,but also can be waterproof wear resistance.Widely used in the field of soft furniture materials bonding for its excellent performance,for example,excellent contact performance,wet bonding,environmental protection,safety and flame retardant.Preparation of instantaneous bonding air-dry emulsion adhesive by blending those two emulsion latex.Composite latex maintains excellent performance of each single component,compensate the defects of single component,prepared excellent bonding performance adhesive for furniture material.Synthesized the acrylic emulsion by seed pre-emulsion polymerization.The performance of the emulsion was researched by the conversion rate test,the Malvern particle size analyzer test,the digital rotational viscometer test and the gel rate test.The preparation parameters are as follows: Weight percentage of seed pre-emulsion 8~12,the reaction temperature 82 ~ 86 ?,the reaction time 4.5~5h,the stirring rate 220~260r / min during the feeding time,the stirring rate 180~240r / min during the constant temperature reaction time.Acrylic emulsion with small average particle size and narrow particle size distribution has high stability and white pan blue appearance of the emulsion.The average particle size of the acrylic emulsion latex which was synthesized by using composite emulsifier SDS/0P-10,C0-436/OP-10 was smaller than that of using SDS,OP-10,CO-436 and DNS-86 respectively,what's more,lower gelation rate and higher stability.Further studies show that the optimum range of compound emulsifier was 2.4~2.8wt%.Adjusted the acrylic emulsion latex pH>8 with ammonia or organic amine and the neoprene latex pH=8~10 with boric acid solution before blended,which could avoid compound emulsion thickening,demulsify and gel.The optimum modification conditions are as follows: keeping the stirring speed between 300~500r / min and the stirring time in 90 ~ 120 min,using Tg of acrylic emulsion latex lower than-50 ?,The stability of the composite emulsion prepared under these conditions is good.To choose average particle size of acrylic emulsion is similar to that of neoprene latex,the stability of the emulsion prepared under this process conditions is more than 180 days,which satisfies the stability requirement.Combined high crystalline anionic neoprene latex C84 or neoprene latex SL-390 with anionic water-based neoprene latex C2694 whose crystallization rate is very fast can adjust the contact adhesive properties of emulsion adhesives.The best ratio are C84 / C2694 = 8/2,SL-390 / C2694 = 8/2.Adhesive performance test and T-peel force test showed that the best mass ratio of blended emulsion was acrylic emulsion latex / crystalline anionic neoprene latex = 40/60.The acrylic emulsion latex with relatively high molecular weight was beneficial to improve the T-type peeling force of the latex and the tensile properties of the film.TG analysis and heat resistance test showed that the addition of inorganic nano-materials,magnesium oxide and hydrophilic fumed silica(1~1.5 wt%)could improve the heat resistance,adhesive strength and Oxidative aging properties.
