As silicone rubber(MVQ)is a good insulation material.It will inevitably produce static electricity by friction during the production and use process,which will have some negative effect on electrical and electronic industry.In order to improve the antistatic properties of silicone rubber,different antistatic agents including ionic liquids and low melting point alloys on the antistatic properties of silicone rubber were applied.Firstly,the effect of two ionic liquids(ILs)namely 1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride([AMIM]Cl)and 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate([EMIM]BF4)on the surface and volume resistivity,mechanical properties,transparency and water contact angle of methyl vinyl silicone rubber(MVQ)were investigated.The results show that MVQ/[EMIM]BF4 composites behave lower surface and volume resistivity than MVQ/[AMIM]Cl composites.The mechanical properties of MVQ/[EMIM]BF4 and MVQ/[AMIM]Cl composites are slightly lower than those of pristine MVQ.Effect of the [EMIM] BF4 loading on the surface resistivity,volume resistivity and mechanical properties of MVQ/[EMIM]BF4 composites were studied.With the increasing of the [EMIM]BF4 content,the surface and volume resistivity and water contact angle of the MVQ/[EMIM]BF4 composites decrease.When the content of [EMIM]BF4 is 2.0 phr,the MVQ/[EMIM]BF4 composites show superior antistatic performance with the surface and volume resistivity of 9.6×109 ? and 1.2×1011 ?·cm,respectively.and the the tensile strength and elongation at break of the composites is 7.1MPa and 515%,respectively.The composites were characterized by FT-IR,TGA,SEM and EDS mapping.The antistatic mechanism of MVQ/ILs composites was elaborated.Secondly,effect of the amount of low melting point alloy(SnBi-69)on the surface resistivity,volume resistivity and mechanical properties of silicone rubber were studied.With the increasing of the SnBi content,the surface and volume resistivity of the MVQ/ SnBi composites decrease.When the content of SnBi is 3.0 phr,the MVQ/ SnBi composites show superior antistatic performance with the surface and volume resistivity of 1.6×1010?,2.2×1011?·cm respectively,and the the tensile strength and tear strength of the composites is 8.2MPa and 612%,respectively.Moreover,effects of tensile temperature,tensile strain and tensile cycles on the lenth to diameter ratio of SnBi particles and mechanical and electrical properties of MVQ/Sn Bi-3 composites were investigated.The results show that the lenth to diameter ratio of SnBi and the surface and volume resistivity of MVQ/SnBi composites are reduced with the increasing of the temperature,tensile strain and tesile cycles.The relationship between the lenth to diameter ratio of SnBi and the surface and volume resistivity of MVQ/SnBi composites was established.The atistatic mechanism was also interpreted.
