Physical and chemical property of each block in a block copolymer is generally different.Self-assembly of block copolymer in aqueous solution is the result of interaction between each block and different solvent.If relative length and sequence of the segment is changed,it will have huge influence on such interaction,thus affecting the aggregation of the final morphology.A lot of interests have been put in field of POSS-modification study to organic polymer,POSS-based hybrid polymer is rarely employed to fabricate super-hydrophobic surface and investigate its self-assembly behavior.Based on the successful synthesis POSS-based hybrid polymer,it is both quite meaningful to study its self-assembly behavior and investigate a simple and scale-up method to fabricate super-hydrophobic and applicable surface.This article includes the following:ATRP was employed to prepare POSS-based hybrid di-block polymer P(MMA-BE-HEMA)-b-PMAPOSS and POSS-based hybrid tri-block polymer PMMA-b-PFMA-b-PMAPOSS.The structure of the polymers was characterized by FT-IR,1H NMR and GPC.The results showed that the block polymers were successfully synthesized and their structures were in high correspondence with what was designed,indicating that the whole polymerization process was living and well-controlled.The as-prepared POSS based di-block polymer P(MMA-BA-HEMA)-b-PMAPOSS was dissolved in different solvents,and spraying method was employed to fabricate a practical layer of super hydrophobic surface.The influences of POSS content in polymer,solvent type and film-forming temperature on the coating surface morphology,surface roughness and surface wettability were investigated through scanning electron microscope(SEM),surface elemental analysis(XPS),atomic force microscope(AFM).the results showed that compared with other three solvents,ethyl acetate was optimal to obtain super-hydrophobicity as spraying solvent effect;as film-forming temperature rose,solvent evaporation was quicker,POSS aggregation became less and less,thus decreasing hydrophobicity of the surface;with the increase of POSS content in polymer,POSS aggregation on the surface tended to strengthen,which in turn increased the roughness and hydrophobicity on the coating surface,when POSS content reached 46.53 wt %,the measured water static contact angle and sliding angle were 156.1 ° and 2.3 ° respectively.The self-assembly of POSS-based hybrid tri-block polymer PMMA-b-PFMAPMAPOSS in different selective solvents was also investigated.We explored the influence of different block sequences,different block length and different selective solvents on size and structure of self-assembled micelle particles using dynamic light scattering(DLS)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).When the PFMA block both end and middle position of the polymer,self-assembled micelles are vesicular and separate one,and the particle size were 82.1 nm and 152.2 nm respectively;With the growth of the PMMA block length,the shell of the self-assembled core-shell micelle became thicker,and the size of particles also increased.When the length of PMMA block increased to 100,size of particle size in the solution increased to 190 nm;Polymers formed different micelles f in different selective solvents.In the mixture of two selective solvent,with the continuous increase of F113 volume fraction,the self-assembled micelles turned from core-shell shape to vesica shape,and the size of micellar particle also increased,when the V THF/VF113 increases to 2/8,the size was 237.3 nm.
