Phthalocyanines(Pc)and their derivatives, the planar aromatic macrocycles consisting of four isoindole units, present an 18 p-electron aromatic cloud delocalized with an arrangement of alternated carbon and nitrogen atoms. And Pc is a very promising photocatalyst because of the narrow band gap about 2.0 eV and the strong absorption at 600-800 nm.However, due to the poor solubility of Pc,it can not be dispersed uniformly in water, which limits its application in photocatalysis.According to the existing problem, this paper has carried out the design and preparation of the phthalocyanine polymer photocatalyst which can be recycled and well dispersed.Firstly, the trithiocarbonate-PNIPAM was synthesized by RAFT method using 2-dodecylsulfanylthiocarbonyl-sulfanyl-2-methylpropionic acid as the chain transfer agent. Then, the poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)-b-poly(2-methyl-acrylic acid 6-(3,4-dicyanophenoxy)-hexyl ester)(PNIPAM-b-PMADCE)was synthesized via RAFT method using trithiocarbonate-PNIPAM as the chain transfer agent. To obtain the copolymers,PNIPAM-bPMADCE with benzenedinitrile as side-chains and excess benzenedinitrile were used to synthesize PNIPAM-b-PMADCE-ZnPc.Subsequently,the structure of the Zn(II)phthalocyanine-functionalized polymer PNIPAM-b-PMADCE-ZnPc was characterized by 1H NMR,FTIR,UV-vis,and fluorescence analysis. Finally, the experimental results show that the prepared catalyst has temperature responsive properties and good water dispersion. The catalyst can also degrade organic model pollutant, including Rhodamine B and methylene blue, whose degradation rates were 85% and 87.5%,respectively.So the copolymer is suitable to use as water medium degradation agent, which is easy to be recovered and reused.
