Multilayered composites are some one kind of artificial intelligence structures which consist of one or various single-phase material. So far,the main materials that multilayered composites contain are piezoelectric material, piezomagnetic material and left-hand material.Based on the negative refractive properties of electromagnetic waves propagation in left-hand materials and the combination between multilayered composites and left-hand materials, the paper aims at construct the electro-magneto-elastic multilayered structures which possess the negative permittivity and/or permeability.Meanwhile, some novel scattering properties of P-SV wave propagation in such structures are analyzed. The focus of this article is the scattering properties analysis of P-SV waves in transversely isotropic multilayered composites with the left-hand negative properties. The main contents are the effect of negative permittivity on P-SV wave propagation in electro-elastic composites, the effect of negative permeability on P-SV wave propagation in magneto-elastic composites, the effect of negative permittivity and/or negative permeability on P-SV wave propagation in electro-magneto-elastic composites. The special propagation characteristic provided the great significant for the development of many acoustic devices, such as transducer, quick response devices, and so on.According to the three-dimensional linear elastic theory, the reverberation-ray matrix method(MRRM)is introduced to analyze the dispersion properties of P-SV wave in multilayered composites which with the negative parameters.Based on the theory-formation of MRRM,the scattering equations which characterized the dispersion properties of P-SV wave are derived. The scattering equations are the implicit expression which can not solved by the analytic form solution. Therefore,we write the calculation procedure by the Fortran language and solved the scattering equations by search the root method to give the numerical solution.Base on the reverberation-ray matrix method(MRRM),combine the numerical solution give in the numerical example, and depict the dispersion curves which denote the dispersion characteristics. Then the dispersion properties of P-SV wave propagation in various kinds of multilayered composites with the negative parameters are analyzed. The following results are obtained:(1)Rectify the illustration in many article of reasonable or unreasonable about the negative permeability and the reasonable or unreasonable depend on the material property. The materials have found in natural all with the positive permeability, while the artificial composite left-hand materials possess the negative permeability.(2)As only one permittivity components?11 or ?33 becomes negative value, the mode transition phenomenon is easy identified;while the mode keep generally unchanged with both the permittivity components ?11 and ?33,all reverse the sign to negative.(3)When only one of the permeability components ?11 or ?33 reverse the sign, the mode transition phenomenon will appear;while the dispersion curves remain unchanged as all permeability components ?11 and ?33 are negative.(4)When ?11 or ?11 reverses sign and ?33 or ?33 keep positive value, the mode converses to its adjacent higher-order mode as the wavenumber or frequency increases. When ?33 or ?33 reverses sign and ?11 or ?11 keep positive value, the mode converses to its adjacent lower-order mode as the wavenumber or frequency increases.(5)The mode transition phenomenon happen in the identical wavenumber and frequency, and during the novel mode transition the group velocity became pretty large and that is the energy velocity pretty large.
