Rehmannia glutinosa Libosch,the rhizome of Rehmannia glutinosa Libosch,is known with achyranthes bidentata,yam and chrysanthemum as the four major drugs which has been used in china for a long time and was firstly described it as the upper class in Shennong bencaojing It is often used as a kind of nourishing herb in china.In recent 30 years,Rehmannia glutinosa Libosch has been isolated dozens of the chemical composition and the research on the chemical composition of Rehmannia glutinosa Libosch has developed rapidly.The main chemical components of Rehmannia glutinosa Libosch are glycosides,polysaccharides,and a small amount of β-sitosterol,acid,etc..The glycosides mainly include catalpol and verbascoside.This paper aims to provide a theoretical basis for the company to make Rehmanniae radix praeparata,and develop technological procedure of steaming Radix Rehmannia glutinosa according to the experimental results.Secondly,the paper intends to find proper solving ways of inspection samples to ensure the full dissolution of effective components of verbascoside and the accutrate result of test measurement.At first,the origin,processing and recent studies on the chemical composition and content determination of Rehmannia glutinosa Libosch were presented.In the experimental section,the outsourcing of Rehmanniae radix praeparata was evaluated,and the evaluation points out that purchased Rehmanniae radix praeparata quality is not stable,and little verbascoside content,cannot meet the production needs.Secondly,two kinds of steaming methods were used,to make comparative experiment,and ultimately determine the steaming method for Rehmanniae radix praeparata: infiltrate Radix Rehmanniae by water for 1h,put the Rehmannia glutinosa Libosch in the steaming for 5 ~ 10 h,the vapourcannot be cut or decreaces in the circler.After steaming,the sap in evaporating dish was mixed in the Rehmanniae radix praeparata surface,drying to rtack-free,then put the oven to 60 degrees,and bake to dry.Finally on the basis of verbascoside content determination method in the 2015 edition of "Pharmacopoeia" China Radix Rehmannia glutinosa,the sample was pretreated.This experiment adopts three kinds of treatment methods to Rehmanniae radix praeparata,andthrough contrast test,final inspection pretreatment method is as follows: the sample is placed in the condition of 60℃ for 4h,then take the grinding,and process the coarsest powder.According to the experimental conclusions,we made the steamed technology of Rehmanniae radix praeparata.In order to determine the appropriate process,the steaming process on Rehmanniae radix praeparata are verified.After Rehmanniae radix praeparata steaming process for three batches of validation was examined,Rehmanniae radix praeparata containing test data are summarized.The results showed that the moisture,total ash,acid insoluble ash,extract,determination of content are in line with the standard of pharmacopoeia.Through the verification of the above indicators,the current process of Rehmanniae radix praeparata steaming process are effective,and the result has reproducibility and reliability,which can meet the process requirements,and satisfy the needs of the product quality.
