Integral impeller is widely used in aerospace,energy and other defense industries.This type of impeller usually requires five-axis machine tool for processing,but because of its thin and twisted blade,complex surface and high machining precision,the interference problem is easy to occur in the process.This paper will research on the formation of non-interference tool path of five-axis machining the integral impeller.In order to generate the impeller machining tool path without interference.first,the NURBS curve fitting model was established based on the NURBS curve surface modeling theory,the high quality blade surface is created by using the method of calculating the control points and the curvature detection method.Secondly,according to the geometric structure of the integral impeller,Analysis of its processing difficulties,one is relatively long and thin leaves,the process of easy deformation;Second,the leaves twisted and relatively narrow flow,easy to interfere with the processing,increase the difficulty of the control of the knife axis.Then according to the interference problems in the process of five-axis machining integral impeller,through the establishment of five axis machining cutter axis model,key research the algorithm of non-interference tool path planning.In the roughing stage,puts forward the surface unit normal surface algorithm,quickly solve the offset surface of blade and hub,and gives the algorithm of the feeding step length and row spacing,realized based on layer cutting method of tool path generation algorithm;In the finishing stage,the setting range of the side angle of the side milling cutter based on the residual height is given,realize the double point offset method based on blade side milling machining cutter locus of fast calculation,complete the tool path generation algorithm of integral impeller.Finally,create a 5MC850-A machining center by UG/Post Builder,The tool position source(.CLS)file of the integral impeller is post-processed and the NC code is generated.Then,the 5MC850-A machine model is created by VERICUT,Configure the simulation processing environment.Through the AUTO-DIFF function module,the virtual machining of the integral impeller is carried out to verify the correctness of the tool path of five axis machining without interference.In this paper,the impeller processing without interference tool path planning as the core content,mainly studies the impeller machining related theory and algorithm of tool path planning,and the accuracy of the tool path non-interference is verified by the post processor and virtual machining environment of the machine tool,which can provide reference for the five-axis machining of the impeller.
