Yushenfu mine area is one of the hundred-million ton coal production base in our country,however,roof water disasters have gradually become main hazard factors which affect a safety production in mine with the mine level increased in the mine area.Therefore,it has an important engineering application significance for the safety production of mine to study a warning system which can monitoring the roof water disaster timely and accurately.This paper is based on the theory and method of system science to analysis the connotation and the constituent elements of the early warning system of roof water disaster in shallow seam.Then establish the logical analysis framework and the system structure analysis model of the early-warning system about water disaster in shallow coal seam.According to the hydro-geological conditions of Yushenfu mining area,the factors of influencing the roof water disaster were analyzed.Combined with the actual situation of Hanjiawan coal mine,use water bursting source,underground watercourse,water-resisting ability and prevention work as the first grade indexes to establish the hierarchical model of affect factors cause water disasters.The surface water and loose aquifer water have been calculated as the largest factors which could cause water disasters in Hanjiawan coal mine after using AHP and expert opinion method to evaluate the factors which influence the water disaster of a mine.And determined water level,water temperature,water quantity and the stress of water-resisting layer as the main the specific monitor index for the warning system that could monitoring the roof water in Hanjiawan coal mine.By analyzing the Design goals,system characteristic,system composition,functional requirement of the early warning system in a shallow seam,the program language of VISUAL C++ combined with Mysql database have been used to develop the Hanjiawan coal mine roof water disaster early warning system software.The system has been successful used in the 1# reservoir upper NO.1401 work face of Hanjiawan coal mine.
