During gas production,gas water ratio is gradually increases to cause liquid loading in well bottom,some of which even resulting in dead well.Certain drainage techniches provide solutions for liquid loading though with problems of high energy costs and potential risk.Vortex tool becomes new focus to solve this problem.To solve the problem of little theory support for the application of the vortex tool in gas field,experiments and numerical simulation are employed to examine the influence of the tool on gas lifting.Theoretical analysis based on relative researches points out that exsiting models could not define the influence of the droplet coalescence on critical velocity and gives out a new model to describe the influence by resistant coefficience.Meanwhile,a model to predict critical velocity with a vortex tool in gas well is identified to be suitable for application in gas field.Based on similarity theory,an exprimental apparatus was bulit to examine the influence of the tool on flow regime along the wellbore,liquid loading,pressure drop and critical velocity.It shows that the tool can effcetively increase 23% on average with same gas rate and decrease 18% pressure drop and 19% critical velocity within the wellbore.The exiperiment also proved the accuracy of the model to predict the critical velocity in gas well with relative error of 11%,the model to prodict critical velocity with vortex tool in gas well with relative error of 12% and the model predicting critical velocity with vortex tool in directionnal well with relative error of 12%.AutoCAD and FLUENT are employed to establish a numerical simulation model to describe the multiphase flow in which the tool carry out its performance.Orthogonal design,range analysis and variance analysis are adopted to study the optimazation and the effect of the parameters.Research proves the smaller the groove depth,groove width and gas liquid ratio,the more obvious the effect of the tool and the greater the lead number,the gas flow velocity,the lead length,the more obvious the effect of the tool.Spiral groove cross profile and vertex angle barely has effect on the performance.A optimal vortex tool parameter table and a parameter influence rate table are acquired.A software called vortex tool lifting water process optimazation software is coded to get the optimiztion of lift process including vortex tool best position,tubing diameter and tool's patameters.The analysis of the software shows that the optimal position for vortex is at the exit of the gas shale,and the tool can enormously decrease the pressure loss alongside the tube.The study provides technical support for the use of the tool in field and guides produciton.The study provides technical support for the use of the tool in field and guides production.
